On average, how many times a week does Tyler tweet "I AM A FUCKING TABLE" and what the fuck does that even mean?

he's a fucking table. and a fucking unicorn.

fucktyler Tyler, The CreatorSo, Yonkers Comes Out In 2 Weeks On iTunes. I Wonder If The Fans Will Support It. First Single From #GOBLIN
― no beans, push to fart (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 5 February 2011 04:42 (fifteen years ago)
i wonder too. i think with starlito & g-side, and on a different scale gucci, u see that giving free music away doesn't make ppl buy the stuff u put up for sale. u really have to use yr profile to make money off other things somehow. i get the sense that internet ppl aren't really even registering the latest from the first two acts, simply because they're so used to the mixtape i.v. @ this point. a counter-example might be "exhibit c" which i think did quite well on itunes, but that was a one-off symbolic gesture, almost a campaign.
yonkers is a much better title than goblin
― zvookster, Saturday, 5 February 2011 11:00 (fifteen years ago)
"Yonkers" is just the name of a track. Album is still Goblin.
― jim b?m (The Reverend), Saturday, 5 February 2011 11:46 (fifteen years ago)
yah i'm just sayin tho
― zvookster, Saturday, 5 February 2011 12:06 (fifteen years ago)
G-Side and Starlito still p small coverage on the net, no? And as much as we have kettled ourselves in- Gucci? Like if you factored in 4 changes to TSVRDs promotion, you could have had something selling big fucking numbers (him not going to prison, not fucking up Wasted as a single and then taking too long to release Lemonade after, him not going crazy and his management not fucking up and conning people out of show appearances/money - people who wanted to support his promotion remember). Like I can see someone doing what Gucci did before hand with free mixtapes to make themselves hugeamd to make sales from it.
OFGWKTA can't do this because I've downloaded a free Earl tape, so god knows if Goblin is an album, a single or the MC - you know? You don't get the same immediate brand recognition. They have made their name public though, and if they were to get solo Wu-esque contracts, could get a hell of a lot of mileage from going one at a time promoting each member of the crew between them. I think as soon as they sign with someone the free music should stop and that fans will hopefully understand that they got a fucking lot for free and now deserve to put their money down - an idea that was incredibly successful circa Tha Carter II and III

i'm saying the coverage & discussion in the stuff i read is smaller still once they charge for a record, tho g-side did get a p4k review out of it which is another arena.
yr gucci point, idk, he already had a fanbase to sell to. for unsigned acts yeah, moving to a major will bring promotion that will bring sales. that's more a case of giving away free music will get u signed.
― zvookster, Saturday, 5 February 2011 12:35 (fifteen years ago)
I don't think most labels is gonna be stupid enough to sign an act that hasn't already proved that it can build a fanbase, promote and tour etc. these days.
― if there is a King Kenny, apparently he is huge into slapstick. (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 5 February 2011 12:37 (fifteen years ago)
this is kinda fucked
is Earl on any of the GOBLIN tracks?
Yes And No. Since It Is Being Released On iTUnes And Stores, Legally, We Cant Have Him On The Album For Profit, Etc; With Out His Moms Consent. And She Doesnt Fuck With Me, She Fucking Hates Me. It Kinda Hurts To Know That My Best Friend Cant Be On The Fucking Album That Can Make Me Or Break Me. But, He Is On A Song That Wouldve Been On There Entitled LLAMA. THe Shit Is Fucking Crazy. Maybe I'll Put It Out On WOLF,

I Follow You (Tyler the Creator Mix) - Lykke Li
Feeling this.
― Alex in Montreal, Thursday, 10 February 2011 04:40 (fifteen years ago)
Tyler The Creator...takes the track into lethargic bass-heavy Salem territory
― ianmaxwell, Thursday, 10 February 2011 09:47 (fifteen years ago)
good track tho
LOL
And to think the NME has been trying to cover more dubstep and ting, still coming out with that shit. Burn the fuckers down already, print is dead, esp. when written by stupid fucking 15 year olds.

― if there is a King Moaty, apparently he is huge into slapstick. (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 10 February 2011 14:02 (fifteen years ago)
Yeah but there's every chance Tyler has heard more Salem than he has DJ Screw.
― Number None, Thursday, 10 February 2011 14:15 (fifteen years ago)
that would be unfortunate.
― if there is a King Moaty, apparently he is huge into slapstick. (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 10 February 2011 15:06 (fifteen years ago)
He's a teenager and his tastes are pretty indie tbh. I'm no fan of Salem but I don't think it's ridiculous that the NME would use a band that he's a fan of and their readers would be familiar with as a point of comparison.
