Hm, that Arcade Fire remix isn't too bad. This track may grow on me yet.

Not in any major way but something about it reminds me of "100,000 Fireflies". The airy female vocals, the heartache... ?

shit, great work everyone! this has been one of the most rewarding and inspirational ILM polls i've ever participated in. KIP in effect pretty much all the way through, and i heard tons of brilliant music i'd probably never have been exposed to otherwise. thank you for the fives, lil b, swans, caribou and so much more. love all y'all.

ashamed to say i didn't vote for "toot it and boot it". ;_; love that song SOOOOO much, but i threw my tracks ballot together in like 10 min at the last possible moment, and as a result it made next to no sense. i am proud to have helped "lightweight jammin", "shutterbugg", "yamaha", "lovesick" and "hard in da paint" along.

If nothing else, this poll has introduced me to Earl Sweatshirt, and that p.dece Scissor Sisters track, amongst others.

also, flocka was actually #1 for a bit there, but girl unit eventually surged ahead

the song in the top 10 that had the biggest jump in the final two days was "round & round" which moved from the 6/7 range to 3

"tightrope" was the one that was in the top 3 for a while but eventually ended up lagging a bit

i'm so happy at everyone's reaction to "the age of information" -- i had a slight sense that it might win a lot of fans on ilm due to its exposure in this poll but i'm surprised at how many people that said they felt the lyrics & what not

i hear this track on the radio still & get so pumped but the fact that the album got shelved kinda pushed "lose my mind" to the back of my head & i didn't end up rating it that highly even tho it was my fav rap song all summer

I was just a stand-in for J0rdan on this poll. The albums one is my "baby" I guess (and, though I'm not accompanying the results with fancy screengrabs, I did make an effort to make the album covers all a uniform size and fine tune their coloration, quality, etc.)

do you think the high rank of un"populist" tracks, as contenderizer describes, is due to people like me who didn't weigh their ballots? assuming there were a lot of us..
