Oh, I forgot "Ride" was one of those tracks of late where the artist opens the song by singing his/her own name. That trend needs to die a quick death.

and that beat is so deeeeep - synths and vox rising off the song like steam

also want to dissent on 'need your lovin' which n/a would be totally otm about sounding like it could have come out 25 years ago, and its not exactly improving on anything from then

God love this so so much from the astounding opening 10 seconds onwards.

Brilliant of course, voted for this even if it's super old

I also like the Fan Death Reworks mix, cheeky take on the original version's super intricate production.

Is it just me, or does everyone else hear this song biting "For the Love of Money" as well? Not that it matters. I still think it's excellent.

'coma cat' & 'lovesick' are both undeniable but i also feel like i never really connected w/ them, like a pop song that you like thru its omnipresence & the way it fits a bunch of overlapping venn diagram bubbles rather than thru qualities that you love. i know 'focus group tested' is usually used as a pejorative but there wasnt the shock/awe of, like, early lindstrom for me from either

This is a tremendous run of songs, Robyn aside, probably the best in any ILM poll. Lovesick is so effortlessly cool sounding.

one of the weirdest/best dancefloor moments i had last year was seeing the hosts of this dance party on a stage dressed as troll dolls performing a choreographed dance to "lovesick"

yes johnny -- "lovesick" had the same number of points as ciara but needed 6 more votes

well if we're so sure "gimmie dat" isn't placing the video is here and i am in awe, actual awe, of her moves in it

this next one showed up considerably higher in the other major polls

goddam, i could listen to "lovesick" all day. if i had to have just one track from my ballot show up, glad it was this one. in retrospect, i ranked it way, way too low.

I like "Lovesick" a lot, but "Baby Can't Stop" (which I realize is a 2009 single) is so clearly the highlight of that album that I never really mentally isolated any of the other tracks.
