ILM'S TOP 77 TRACKS of 2010

I love the arpeggio that goes through the whole song - there's a little bit of variation once the chorus starts, but by then it's overshadowed anyway. Kind of recalls the backing track of With Every Heartbeat.

this is the only robyn song that i heard last year that i liked. i don't get the love for "dancing on my own" at all, but i'm sure it'll be higher up in this poll.

The vocals are also very tastefully done with some great harmonies. Sorry but I could go on and on about this track...

I only heard this Gyptian track for the first time about a week or so ago, but I'd have considered voting for it if I'd heard it earlier. Really good.

the gyptian track is so good -- i didn't vote for it but it's probably the song of the summer for me, by association

to me, this was THE most ubiquitous song of the year, the one that i was most likely to hear in the wild. idk whether the youtube j0rdan linked is the version with nicki minaj's guest spot, but that's the one i heard most often. lots of excellent work on the riddim, too - in the "hold yuh" thread, lady chann's "feel calm" went down particularly well.

I'm really shocked Hang With Me made it, it's a good song but I prefer so many of the other songs on those albums.

otm - when i first heard i wasn't, like, OMG BEST SONG EVER. but every time i heard it blaring out of a car or a house or at a party or in a club or in parliament fucking square during the fucking student protests with a gang of kids doing the dutty wine around burning benches and rapping along to nicki - "TELL EM FI GWAN, EVICTION" - another amazing memory was overlaid on top of the last, and yeah, it might not have been my number one but it's one of those songs that's just going to take me right back to 2010 for my whole life.

I gave Invisible Light a lot of points, hoping that could sneak into the list.

All it took was for 12 people who really like it a lot to get it to #29.

Oh, I forgot "Ride" was one of those tracks of late where the artist opens the song by singing his/her own name. That trend needs to die a quick death.
