Love that song, but that's the least intriguing screencap of the video.

on shitty mobile broadband now so can't really listen to youtubes but really want to hear that nico jaar. i voted for 'back to decemeber' - my favourite song from the album. still holding out hope that the remix of that drake song that i voted for places.

nice caribou! reminds me of arthur russel a bit. beautiful vocals and rhythms, love the waka-waka guitar. one of my favorite things so far. nice surprise, too, as i'd been indifferent to previous snaiths.

This is one of the tracks I voted for because it stood out on a so-so album (see also: Gil-Scott Heron).

I found Caribou completely uninteresting until Swim.

yeah that post was a bit flip but im sure the video is responsible for a lot of the attention this track received ... i was kinda into this before the video but only cuz i thought his first lp was promising & this was one of the only good traxx on the follow up -- i definitely saw no one talk abt it til the video popped up tho

thing about the guincho video is that it's the editing as much as the imagery that elevates the song. snaps along and emphasizes the movement of the beat quite nicely.

"Novias" is a better song on the El Guincho album, maybe I should have nominated it.

I love El Guincho. His stuff is always pretty laid back but it certainly isn't lazy. Would level that at someone like Caribou a million times more.

oh god i'm so over hot chip. their album this year was thoroughly weak.

Wasn't even aware Hot Chip had released an album this year.

Yeah, it's far from their best work. I like a few songs on it, though (including this one).

Kind of a consistent vibe going with the last few tracks. Don't like this half as much as Caribou though.

Hot Chip is okay, seems like the electro version of the Pet Shop Boys...?
