imo, warner should fuck themselves

challopian youtubes (deej), Tuesday, 25 January 2011 15:37 (fifteen years ago)

I'm no Gucci stan and I really like a lot of those producers but there's no way he would sound good over a typical Toddla T/Terror Danjah/Scratcha DVA beat let alone paired with Ghetts or Wiley. Giggs or someone with a similar flow maybe but this just sounds ill-conceived.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 25 January 2011 15:41 (fifteen years ago)

its confounding to me that warner thinks this is how they should spend their money

challopian youtubes (deej), Tuesday, 25 January 2011 15:44 (fifteen years ago)

"Burrtish" just sounds really stupid. Not stupid like Gucci's jewelry game; the bad kind of stupid.

*kl0p* (deej), Friday, 4 February 2011 00:34 (fifteen years ago)

oh there's definitely tragedy there. just j0rdan's "it's your birthday! don't die" thing struck me as kind of bizarre.

hercudeez and nuts affair (some dude), Friday, 4 February 2011 00:35 (fifteen years ago)

i was half kidding

J0rdan S., Friday, 4 February 2011 02:46 (fifteen years ago)

the general point was "don't do something stupid," i thought saying "don't die tonight" was a bit less serious than "don't get arrested"

J0rdan S., Friday, 4 February 2011 02:46 (fifteen years ago)

"don't get another ice cream cone tattooed on your face tonight"

gr8080, Friday, 4 February 2011 05:14 (fifteen years ago)

just got this press release:

GUCCI MANE PREPARES RELEASE OF STREET ALBUM, THE RETURN OF MR. ZONE 6, AND RETURN TO MUSIC FOR THE STREETS

February 10, 2011: Burbank, CA:

After a series of well-publicized and wily events, Radric Davis, better known as Gucci Mane, is getting back to the music. On March 22, 2011 the Atlanta enigma will release the next chapter in his series of street albums titled The Return of Mr. Zone 6. The disc will be available on online music stores as well as in local retailers.

“This street album is a return to the music that got me buzzin’ in the first place,” expresses Gucci. “It didn’t really make sense to not have some of the people who’ve been responsible for some of my best street records behind me.”

Gucci Mane teamed up with long-time collaborator Drumma Boy to produce the majority of the album with producers Southside and Zaytoven each contributing a song to the 13-track release. Features on the album include Brick Squad counterparts Waka Flocka Flame, OJ Da Juiceman, Cash Money’s Birdman, Wale, Master P, Webbie, 8ball, Rocko and Wooh the Kid.

Tracklisting is as follows:

1. 24 Hours
2. Mouth Full of Golds feat. Baby
3. This Is What I Do feat. Waka Flocka & OJ Da Juiceman
4. Reckless feat. Cap & Chill
5. Shout Out To My Set feat. Wooh the Kid
6. I Don’t Love Her feat. Rocko & Webbie
7. Better Baby
8. Brinks feat. Master P
9. Pretty Women feat. Wale
10. Pancakes Feat. Waka Flocka & 8ball
11. Hell Yeah feat. Slim Dunkin
12. My Year
13. Trick or Treat feat. Slim Dunkin, Wooh the Kid & Waka

Fans should stay tuned for three viral videos (“Mouth Full of Gold,” “24 Hours” and “I Don’t Love Her”) to be released in the upcoming weeks. As an added bonus, exclusive tracks will be released each week via his official website, www.guccimaneonline.com.

In March of 2010, Gucci Mane released The Burrrprint 2 for purchase between 2009’s critically acclaimed The State vs. Radric Davis and it’s follow-up The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted where it cracked the Billboard 200’s Top 20 releases with almost 20K copies sold in its first week. While these past efforts marked Gucci’s experimentation with different sounds and styles, the rapper touts The Return of Mr. Zone 6 as a reintroduction to the music so popular amongst his most ardent of fans.

“2009 was a great year. 2010 was a hell of a year. I’m hoping 2011 will be a hell of a great year. This project is going to set the tone for the new decade and I can’t wait for the feedback from the supporters, haters and everyone in between. I’m back, yall. BRRR!!!”

The Brainwasher, Thursday, 10 February 2011 03:19 (fifteen years ago)

that tracklisting is v promising but hopefully this isn't like 'burrpring 2 3D"

J0rdan S., Thursday, 10 February 2011 03:23 (fifteen years ago)

8. Brinks feat. Master P

yes

J0rdan S., Thursday, 10 February 2011 03:24 (fifteen years ago)

lol "wily events"

pretty goofy how The Burrprint 2 was a retail release and the original wasn't, and now The Return of Mr. Zone 6 will be a retail release and the original wasn't. but this seems like a good look in principle.

some dude, Thursday, 10 February 2011 03:29 (fifteen years ago)

labels be behind the curve

J0rdan S., Thursday, 10 February 2011 03:30 (fifteen years ago)

Wily Mane would be a great rap name

J0rdan S., Thursday, 10 February 2011 03:30 (fifteen years ago)

:) mouth full of golds early contender for best songtitle of the year
