plays like a MadTV sketch to me

and on top of it the song is hilarious & catchy -- it's the "lazy sunday" of strip club songs

I should say that I refrained from casting a ballot this year specifically with the hopes of keeping Die Antwoord off these lists...

I guess I just don't get into jokey music in general, as I find Die Antwoord pretty insufferable as well. Jokey is different from novelty imo.

I thought $o$ wz a pretty decent album considering the thin premise...

I mean if it wz just Enter the Ninja, then yeah fuck off, but I liked Beat Boy, Wat Pomp, Wat Kyk Jy, I Don't Need You, the fishpaste jar song...

I've only heard Enter the Ninja, but I honestly don't feel compelled to explore further...even if it's supposed to be better than that.

it's cool you don't like it, bro; there's lots not to like about it. I saw it on an ILX thread, pasted it on a couple of my friends' webpages. They thought it was cool, we checked out a few other songs, and I heard the entire album on the group's website, and thought it was pretty solid...

Enter the Ninja is prolley 7th or 8th favorite song on the album...

Oh yeah, I didn't get the impression you were evangelizing for it. They're just one of those groups I made up my mind about early on and will likely never change it (unless, maybe, they record a song with Robert Smith like Crystal Castles did lol)

Not that I give a shit about Cassie, but I would like to point out that you also hate R. Kelly's awesome "When a Woman Loves" where he is all fucking singing like a Greek God.

don't get the love. liked "enter the ninja" well enough at first, but the album is horrid, as is that "fish paste" song is the worst. i literally cannot stand to be hearing it.

re: Die Antwoord, I liked the vaguely rave-y feel of "Beat Boy" (yeah the best), & "I Don't Need You" and "Very Fancy" & mostly love Yolandi Visser's brattiness on "Wat Kyk Jy" and "$copie". Fish Paste i thought was funny, esp the Mariah Carey bit. As I said before,the premise is pretty thin...
