yeah, i guess that was another surprise. not a "wtf" surprise like the knife track, but surprising in that i'd never even heard of it, or of anyone involved. get the feeling i'm not alone there, that if more than a handful of ILXors had heard it, it would have placed much, much higher.

Okay, kind of lost interest in Four Tet a while ago but have seen a bunch of you raving about the new album, so let's have a listen to this.

oh and i went back and tried to listen to that crystal castles again. it seemed okay when i first tried and failed to make it through, but i was only wrong. there is no way in which that thing does not stink.

Actually, this is better than just okay. I'm glad it placed.

four tet album is stellar front to back, was my #1 long-player for most of 2010 until a couple great albums hit late in the year, but i'd still rank it in my top 2-3 w/o hesitation

Ringer EP and There is Love in You are the only Four Tet releases that have grabbed me - found the earlier stuff not so interesting.

aw Matt, u harsh - I use genre terms v personally and tbh most radio music tends towards this glossy electronic euphoria which I can get v lazy with in turn

I do like this, but it doesn't knock my socks off or anything. Not sure it'll get me back into Four Tet in any meaningful sense.

yeah LJ is approaching Hongro territory where i see him as kind of a static, unchanging but minor irritant in music threads but i get way more annoyed with people who obsess over responding to him.
