I can get into the room, but I can't see anyone else on the 'current users' list, there are no tracks queued, and I can't get the upload option.

(I'm talking about the ILXOR room)

A lot of the avant classical and noise pieces are very long -- I can see going with shorter stuff in the main room.

that's exactly the idea yeah....quite a few 20m+ tracks in tbrr (which is necessary for some genres)

you mentioned the Pan Sonic/Merzbow track upthread, that's an hour long -- nobody would sit still for that in ILXOR

firefox been pretty rubbish for me too. used safari for a couple of hours without any trouble. no idea about chrome tho.
