Which rappers do you think may have actually killed someone in the past?

Anyway, if we're talking about musicians who killed someone, wasn't there some relatively well known rock drummer who killed his mother? I can't remember the name right now.

And of course there's this guy:

Tuomas, Tuesday, 11 January 2011 13:21 (fifteen years ago)

Sid was never confirmed as having killed Nancy Spungen (died too soon to get a sentence), but I guess it seems likely he did.

Jimmy Snuka killed a bitch. And he could rap too.

"jobs" (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 11 January 2011 13:39 (fifteen years ago)

Ozzy Osbourne allegedly indirectly killed a kid by writing "Suicide Solution" and causing that kid to commit suicide.

Maybe youse should do a "Death Pool" and list 15 rappers, singers, people on wikip. And the person that gets the most murderers by the end of the year, wins.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 11 January 2011 14:28 (fifteen years ago)

Hmm, I didn't know it, but apparently Jim Gordon was the drummer for Incredible Bongo Band, and he played drums on "Apache".

Tuomas, Tuesday, 11 January 2011 14:37 (fifteen years ago)

^^^^know the ledge

"jobs" (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 11 January 2011 14:42 (fifteen years ago)

it seems like Gordon played on every great album of the time. Pet Sounds, The Notorious Byrd Brothers, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, Nilsson Schmilsson, Pretzel Logic...

Lil Boosie is suspected of up to five murders

mavisbeacon666 (San Te), Wednesday, 12 January 2011 01:12 (fifteen years ago)

Hammer did time as a teenager for shooting a convenience store clerk.

no way! he seems so nice

My, my, my music hits me so hard
Makes me say "Oh, my Lord"
Thank you for blessing me
With a mind to rhyme and two hype feet

It feels good, when you know you're down
A super dope homeboy from the Oak town
And I'm known as such
And this is a beat, uh, you can't touch

I tell you, homeboy

Daniel, Esq., Wednesday, 12 January 2011 01:15 (fifteen years ago)

lol I love how long it took for someone to respond to that.

mavisbeacon666 (San Te), Wednesday, 12 January 2011 01:16 (fifteen years ago)

as far as I know I think Hammer's (aka STANLEY BURRELL lol) claim to thug life was scalping a football ticket when he was a kid

mavisbeacon666 (San Te), Wednesday, 12 January 2011 01:16 (fifteen years ago)

though he really shoulda been arrested for his performance at Universal back in 2009 cuz that shit was criminal

mavisbeacon666 (San Te), Wednesday, 12 January 2011 01:17 (fifteen years ago)

Jim Gordon wrote the "Layla" coda, which is the best part of that song, and not even the Goodfellas montage can erase from my brain what that guy did to his poor mama (with a HAMMER, no less) - I hear the "Layla" coda, and I instantly think "murder by hammer."

and pre-empting obvious "Can't Touch This" joke

According to the internet, RL Burnside actually served jailtime! “I didn’t mean to kill nobody, I just meant to shoot the sonofabitch in the head. Him dying was between him and the Lord.”

so I'll count that as more confirmed than legend

scott seward, Sunday, 16 January 2011 06:44 (fifteen years ago)

its unironic

ice cr?m, Sunday, 16 January 2011 06:48 (fifteen years ago)

his name is c murder because he sees murder. doesn't necessarily commit murder.
