This thread just keeps on giving! The Riot Squad pic looks the band LEAST likely to cause rioting of any type. "8 Track tape available on this group!"

Glorified Lolcat (Dan Peterson), Monday, 10 January 2011 21:56 (fifteen years ago)

what's with the David Crosby like-a-look in Hunger

assorted curses (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 10 January 2011 21:59 (fifteen years ago)

Ha, that does look like Crosby!

One of the bands way upthread, Chewawa Allstar, have a Youtube video! Wonder how many others do?

VegemiteGrrrl, Wednesday, 12 January 2011 18:41 (fifteen years ago)

Save "Tie A Yellow Ribbon," I like Avalanche's repertoire. Would see this band!

Glorified Lolcat (Dan Peterson), Wednesday, 12 January 2011 19:07 (fifteen years ago)

wow @ their entire repertoire. "tie a yellow ribbon" made me LOL. talk about eclectic

You can hear the whole song here - http://thankscity.com/jams/taco/27_Track_27.m4a

Pretty decent!

Kind of want to see the movie based on that trailer.

EZ Snappin, Thursday, 13 January 2011 03:19 (fifteen years ago)

Wow! Thx dudes, this is a jam.

Gay for Johnny Moped (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Thursday, 13 January 2011 03:31 (fifteen years ago)

Haha... got about 2 minutes into that song (which is kinda cool) when suddenly had one of those weird realizations that I'd somehow gone from checking airplane tickets to listening to Gritz in the span of about 5 minutes. wtf internet

Lolled hard enough at Mildstone to Google them. The three on the right are brothers.

Hardcore Bangage (Dan Peterson), Wednesday, 11 May 2011 22:13 (fifteen years ago)

re: tumbleweed

was it common in the 70s for bands to have both a manager and a warthole?

m0stlyClean, Thursday, 12 May 2011 03:42 (fifteen years ago)

hmmm, I rather like the name Mildstone. They sound like they'd drop some laid back grooves.

Moodles, Thursday, 12 May 2011 13:54 (fifteen years ago)

Haghill looks like they could throw down some Crazy Horse jams.

legendary TUFA

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 3 June 2011 22:40 (fifteen years ago)

in high school a friend of my brother's had a 'zine called "vartufa" - and one day by pure coincidence he came across a 7" single recorded by the above band (TUFA) and proceeded to dedicate subsequene issues of the 'zine to an exhaustively detailed fictional "history" of the band (which he later turned into a feature length film).

and guess what, today most of it is on ye internets
