Alan Price Set B side is: Iechyd-Da
The Izzy Royal single should be credited to I-Royals, but I haven't found anywhere that says what the B side was.

I have the Cheeze 7" but am unable to transfer to pc at present (amp buggered!). Hopefully I shall get mate to help out when I visit him later this week and be able to upload both sides.

Also I've included a mock-up sleeve cover which I'll complete if it passes with everyone here.

Thanks to both the guys who emailed me at my blog about this thread - sorry I didn't get back to you but I've been busy.

BIG THANKS to everyone here - John would be pleased I think.

johnpeeleveryday.blogspot.com, Wednesday, 2 November 2005 21:31 (twenty years ago)

I have the Meow single - Neko Case's band from the mid-90's. I'll post it in the next 24 hours.

everything, Wednesday, 2 November 2005 21:34 (twenty years ago)

flannelgraph, I'd love an exported playlist for iTunes from what you've put together. I was trying to do some tag cleaning and organizing last night and it got messy very quickly.

patita (patita), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 21:39 (twenty years ago)

I've retagged and renamed all the tunes from the torrent posted last night. Anybody object if I wait for a few more new tunes to roll in before reposting a new torrent?

You should put the torrent up on torrentspy.com. So it gets more seeders/uploaders.

brianed, Thursday, 3 November 2005 08:15 (twenty years ago)

...the question was directed more towards waiting for completeness. Although we've got a few more now.

I'll put it up in a bit then.

the buzzcocks - just lust (like ever fallen in love from love bites, i hope these are identical to the singles versions).

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Thursday, 3 November 2005 20:50 (twenty years ago)

Why is the torrent reading 457.15MB - my folder containing all the songs posted thus far come to way over 1GB?

I could seed this but they're not going to match - have I missed the point of how this works???

HelenLewelynProduct19, Thursday, 3 November 2005 21:02 (twenty years ago)

all 141 tracks i downloaded or added have 470 mb. so the torrent seems to be more or less ok, the last two songs are missing.

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Thursday, 3 November 2005 21:22 (twenty years ago)

I notice the numbering is different to the one at http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,14932-1836864,00.html - which I know has some inaccuracies that have been picked up on but has there been an agreed list that we're sticking to? My My folder is way over 470mb too - I will check it of course but is it just me and helen who seem to be singing from a different song sheet. I've been following all the updates but maybe it's me, like I say I'll check all mine

DomesticEmpire (johnpeeleveryday.blogspot.com), Thursday, 3 November 2005 21:31 (twenty years ago)

Yup, the number is slightly different. The biggest differences are with respect to alphabetizing artists with "The" at the beginning of their name. Everything else (ideally) was more or less following the alphabetical order that the Times used.

Oh, and they had a counting error too.

Stan Meissner, Thursday, 3 November 2005 21:49 (twenty years ago)

Also, the list I compiled is by no means definitive. Feel free to change it in the next version. It just seemed to make sense to me. I ain't the boss of you.

Stan Meissner, Thursday, 3 November 2005 21:51 (twenty years ago)

the following white stripes is still missing completely, i guess:
125. The White Stripes - It takes two, baby + Fell in love with a girl
No, Alex: "It takes two" was the title of the multi-artist EP... see upthread.

yes i got that, mike. but where is fell in love with a girl in your latest list? not sure but i think that was the only white stripes song i ever loved. i am sure cristian has it. and if he hasn't he surely has those other undertones songs, n'est-ce pas, cristian? you have got everything from the list, you are just holding back and waiting for the others to contribute ;-)

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Thursday, 3 November 2005 22:26 (twenty years ago)

OK, stan thanks for the info. I'm downloading & seeding the torrent now - there's 12 of us on it at present.

cristian ceia, Friday, 4 November 2005 06:58 (twenty years ago)

The torrent needs to be re-seeded. I have it completed, but I have very slow upspeed from my home DSL. There are only three other people on at the moment, but I can't feed them all; I will probably need to log off sometime soon. Can somebody who sits on a network please re-seed?

King Of America (King Of America), Friday, 4 November 2005 14:34 (twenty years ago)

I don't think it needs to be reseeded. Resubmitting it to the tracker would be in bad form since it's still got seeders. I've been seeding it for about an hour now. I'll keep it going as long as I can.

Stan Meissner, Friday, 4 November 2005 15:07 (twenty years ago)

i posted that into the blue, cristian. thanks so much. just out of curiosity how many records and cds have you got in total (not only from the peel box, i mean)? or is that an indecent question?

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Friday, 4 November 2005 18:29 (twenty years ago)

Alex, I would guess probably around 2500. I wish I could tell you that I have everything from Peel's box, but that's not true. For example, I've been looking for that Mighty Avengers single for years, at least since 1999, when it was featured in the Peelenium. Same goes for Geater Davis, Gene Dozier and others. Does anyone know if the Max Romeo B-side Revolution is the same thing as Revolution Dub from Lee Perry's Arkology box set?

cristian ceia, Friday, 4 November 2005 19:03 (twenty years ago)

i had thought much more. that's funny, me too i have around 2,500 items in my music database. but hardly anything from peel's box. i obviously can't answer your question neither.

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Friday, 4 November 2005 19:10 (twenty years ago)

DomesticEmpire, you are a kind and good person!
-- patita (baitbai...), November 4th, 2005.

Yes, but you forgot modest.

Thankfully they were nice and cheap! Let's see how kind I am when you find something for more than a fiver! I hadn't thought of looking on ebay - good idea. I used to be a fanatical record collector though have slackened in recent years, but I feel the spirit inside me awaking. Now I just have a few days to sort out my old record player...

Is anyone here going to bid on 'Mighty Avengers - So Much In Love'? It'll be daft if we bid against one another and we need this b-side I think.

DomesticEmpire (johnpeeleveryday.blogspot.com), Saturday, 5 November 2005 03:49 (twenty years ago)

Good job grabbing those, DomesticEmpire! I won't bid on that Mighty Avengers single, mainly because I want to avoid international shipping costs. Thanks for the pointer though, Patita. To make up for this, here's the promised Max Romeo B-side, credited on the Arkology box set to The Upsetters.
