Dome - Cruel When Complete

I seriously thought about making a CD with this song repeated about 25 times. I still might do. For falling asleep to if nothing else.

Zuleika, Monday, 6 December 2010 13:46 (fifteen years ago)

ive done this recently for the first time in ages with both DVA vs Fatima Just Vybe and Games' Strawberry skies. I think its because theyre pretty short, i want everything to be 15 mins long

straightola, Monday, 6 December 2010 14:55 (fifteen years ago)

frogbs, Monday, 6 December 2010 15:40 (fifteen years ago)

The Cure - The Same Deep Water As You

Dome - Cruel When Complete

Oh hell yes! When I just had this on Tyranny of the Beat I used to listen to it many, many times in a row.

mini-skirt and gogol books (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 00:02 (fifteen years ago)

I like to repeat Lindsey Buckingham's Go Insane and Time Bomb Town on a loop. Time Bomb's guitar follows Go Insane's chorus, which I think is unique.

ILM Flipping - I Kelsey Grammered Your Thread (MintIce), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 00:30 (fifteen years ago)

I'm certain I've played "Kiss Me Again" four times in a row on numerous occasions.

currently over the hour on:

Kraftwerk - Computer Love

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 7 December 2010 21:35 (fifteen years ago)

I don't remember ever wanting to hear a song more than twice in a row and even twice in a row is incredibly rare. I need variety.

peter in montreal, Tuesday, 7 December 2010 21:42 (fifteen years ago)

sometimes i feel the same way, which requires playing both the track i have played on repeat for like an hour and another track, simultaneously

nakhtar donetsk (nakhchivan), Tuesday, 7 December 2010 21:46 (fifteen years ago)

That's about three hours and this is still killing it. Just as well I'll be going to sleep now.

the modern lovers - roadunner

nakhtar donetsk (nakhchivan), Wednesday, 8 December 2010 03:57 (fifteen years ago)

I fell asleep listening to "Around the World" on repeat some time in high school, my parents woke me up and must have wondered what happened to their nice little boy.

skip, Wednesday, 8 December 2010 04:12 (fifteen years ago)

I don't know about an hour but I've certainly played some on repeat for at least 1/2 that. The first that comes to mind and this might be a bit weird but it's goodbye horses.

would explain why she never made anything else

shanti ram emmanuel (corey), Wednesday, 8 December 2010 16:42 (fifteen years ago)

I listened to "Sickhair" by Earwig about six times in a row on a particularly miserable day. playing emo songs on repeat when you're in an emo mood is more irritating than cathartic in my experience.

Ride - Vapour Trail

herb albert, Wednesday, 8 December 2010 16:55 (fifteen years ago)

have listened to 4 times in a row, at least:

Beach Boys - This Whole World
Sleigh Bells - Ring Ring
The Bell Sisters - Bermuda
Olivia Tremor Control - Jumping Fences
Everly Brothers - Walk Right Back

all of these are fun and easy to sing along to, which is probably the main reason I listen to them so much.

That's Susumu Hirasawa isn't it? He's made a bunch of music like that. One of the best composers working today, and that's not even counting his soundtrack stuff. His solo albums in general are incredible.

Today I played "Wondaland" by Janelle Monae like 7 times in a row. It's just a neat pop song that kind of defies a normal description. Really catchy and pretty sexy as well.

frogbs, Wednesday, 8 December 2010 17:08 (fifteen years ago)

I'm currently listening to this a ridiculous amount. I thought I'd heard all the great Human League songs out there but this B-side just blew me away.

Yeah my brother actually told me about You Remind me of Gold, he's a big Darkstar fan. That's actually the first time I've heard the cover, it's nice but it's just too normal compared to the original.

I love early Human League, the first three albums are perfect.

O_o-O_0-o_O (jjjusten), Thursday, 9 December 2010 16:35 (fifteen years ago)

pretty sure "The Days of Swine and Roses" was one of those common ones
