Horace Silver Machine (James Redd and the Blecchs), Wednesday, 19 August 2009 15:14 (sixteen years ago)

on the alt-rock side of things, was just reminded of Eric Drew Feldman from the PJ Harvey clip on the recent poll -- he's played with Beefheart, Pere Ubu, Pixies/Frank Black, PJ ... probably others I'm not thinking of ... He's great!

tylerw, Wednesday, 19 August 2009 15:20 (sixteen years ago)

Artie Butler!

Actually, maybe I should have said that, this guy, insofar as he is known at all, is known more as an arranger, but like his one-time boss, Mike Stoller, played piano on all kinds of tracks.

Bucky Pizzarelli also claims to have played on every other rock and roll record back in the day. but I guess he is famous of his own accord.
