i would recommend, esp for you for some reason, 'the street album' -- if yr cool w/ mixtape drops. its become my favorite lately.

'the jack artist' is considered his 'classic' & it is but its not a record that strikes u immediately, more a grower

i've liked the beat when i've heard people freestyle on it, but i hate hearing the original with that corny chorus and dude rhyming "faces" with "taylor"

i agree w/ rev & have no problem w/ the chorus -- its catchy as shit imo

not top ten for me or anything, but i think its def one of wiz's better singles

no, i havent heard the sleepy d tonite show, but i liked sleepy deprivation from earlier this year and i love dj fresh. i meant the dlo tonite show he was talking about on the e40 thread

i think what i like about him is that he's basically what d-block would sound like with a bay vibe instead of an NY vibe.

yah i feel you on that, although i think importantly jacka has a more cormega-influenced lyrical style than jada's punchline one. a lot more meaning packed into some pretty straightforward lines, all jacka's content is between the lines / below the surface

'street album' incorporates some fun influences & is nicely sequenced ... some jamaican stuff, an old school style 'funky worm' sampling gangster track, some slow weird new bay traxx like 'aspen' and 'wit the shit,' its a good & diverse blend that also sounds of a piece
