ok fine here are my fuckin opinions

sleepy d - it's pretty amazing to get any new dj fresh produced mixtapes right now so this is a huge breath of fresh air. "Murdereers" and "The Ghetto Darth Vader" are incredible pieces of spooky castelvania on the moon shit. sleepy d spits really hard nh, obviously he's a bit of a D-Lo clone but what's cool about him is that he's way more head-down, straight ahead rapping than D-Lo who is way more unruly and more of what they call just straight "gassing" all the time without any hesitation or concern for theme or story, all personality like an odb. sleepy d is equally about the voice and presence but his verses have way more content, tiny little places that you pass over on first listen cuz he goes so fast, glossing over pretty engaging scenes shit's tight. also one lsiten to the second verse on "Fresh 2 Def" the first song on it and it's impossible to deny that this guy's voice is like one of the most impressive instruments in hip hop right now, he plays it like a fucking guitar

veteran's day video - big time missed opportunity. what's vetaran? what's veteran's day? it's celebrating soldiers who have come home. lil wayne just came home. the beat is sick and i guess the verses are ok but there's no hook, they could have made a great song first and firemost. thent he video should have been the three of them in front of some crazy green screened red white and blue action. what is the theme of that video and that song and what the fuck do they have to do with each other? it's liekt he director was fuckign witht hem and was like, "yeah, uh everyone take off your shirts and stand over there, i'm gonna put some Megashark Vs Giant Octupus-caliber fiery explosions in the background!"
