I find it funny that as soon as some of us start talking about nick and buzz being gay, or more, nick having a cock in his mouth, the user who posted it took it down. Obviously he is not secure in his sexuality. Obviously he's probably a little homo-phobic. Obviously he, and both those guys are the most ignorant, hopeless, cunt rags on the planet.

Kfefe, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Look again at the "Nick and Buzz" photo above, notice that "Buzz" has his arm around "Nick" and you can't see where "Buzz" has his other hand. They are mutually pleasuring each other. Hence the expression on the face of "Nick"; Also, "Buzz" has saliva all over his chin (oh, god, please let it only be saliva) so ask yourself, what were they doing right before the picture was taken?

Lord Custos Omicron (Lord Custos Omicron), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I just wanted to to get a piece of this so when they have the Threadies lifetime achievement award I can get in the group photo and throw some horns at the camera.

(BTW, what is the Dave Matthews Band?)

Dr. Gene Scott (shinybeast), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 17:45 (twenty-one years ago)

as much fun as disscussing the homoerotic fraternity photo above is, i actually have a new reason why DMB sucks:

American Baby, the new single. It sounds like dave ate Sting's Tantric semen and shat out "King of Pain"

It doesnt matter, it will still sell like mad, i guess. that and the new coldplay.

JD from CDepot, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 17:48 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, agreed, lets get back on topic--enough about nick and buzz and their illicit buttsex/cocksmoking...

Wow, American baby, when I first heard that I didn't even realize it was Dave matthews band. I actually thought it was some lesser known-perhaps "indie" group..but wasn't exactly sure, because it had just enough cheesy sound to it to warrent something corporate and popular.

Then I heard the radio announcer, "And that was Dave Matthews"...I was like.......whaaaatttt????? Has this guy completely lost his identity? It sounds like lots of other shit on the radio meant to be overplayed into the ground. (not like he ever wasn't like that...but what's this now--is he trying to sound more indie? Fuck you, you're doing a bad job.

The song is complete horseshit. Meant to be eaten up by all the loosers we have talked about throughout this thread.

Kfefe, Tuesday, 3 May 2005 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe Dave read this thread and is now trying to win over the ILM set.

where are nick and buzz?

lapetomine, Monday, 9 May 2005 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

If the thoroughly good-natured Stand Up proves anything, it's that Dave Matthews Band has learned to temper its considerable chops with enough restraint and pop smarts that it no longer seems possible for even the most ardent punks to hate the group.

christian right, Wednesday, 11 May 2005 21:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Nope. Hate is still possible. And I'm not even all that ardent...

Also, when has "thoroughly good-natured" ever been a positive statement about an album? Sounds kind of like "My friend has a great personality" to me. So I guess you're saying the newest DMB album is big-boned, or suffers from a glandular problem?

I bet people with a dial up connection don't even bother to open this thread anymore...

Police: FSU QB Sexton lay in street, called himself God
By DAVID ROYSE, Associated Press Writer
June 14, 2005

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Suspended Florida State quarterback Wyatt Sexton was doused by pepper spray and taken to a hospital by police after he was found laying in the street and identifying himself as God.

Sexton was hospitalized Monday night. A school official said Tuesday he was still under medical care at an undisclosed location. Sexton had not been charged with any crime.

Florida State assistant athletic director Rob Wilson said Sexton was suspended from the team two weeks ago because of a previously undisclosed violation of team rules. He declined to elaborate, and said this incident appeared to be unrelated.

Sexton, 20, is the son of Florida State's assistant head coach and running backs coach, Billy Sexton. Wilson said neither head coach Bobby Bowden nor Sexton's father would comment.

Sexton, who will be a junior in the fall, took over the starting job for the Seminoles at midseason last year. He was expected to compete for the spot this year with Drew Weatherford and Xavier Lee, who were redshirted as freshmen last year.

An incident report by Tallahassee police officer Zachary Lyne said he was called to a residential neighborhood about reports of a man doing push-ups in the street and jumping on a car.

Lyne said he found Sexton in the middle of the road wearing only a wet pair of shorts. The officer asked Sexton several times to identify himself, and eventually he said he was God.

Sexton later got on his hands and knees, yelled obscenities at the officer and stared at him. He was doused with pepper spray and handcuffed, and identified himself as Sexton.

Police said Sexton ``appeared to be under the influence of some unknown narcotic or alcohol.'' Hospital officials said they didn't have any information on him.

Once at the hospital, Sexton continued to say he was God and that he didn't know why he was in the hospital, Lyne wrote.

Police said Sexton's roommates told them he had been at a Dave Matthews Band concert in Tennessee with them earlier Monday. They said he had been stressed out over trying to win the starting quarterback job.

Any guesses to what else they listen to?

FranklinT, Tuesday, 28 June 2005 18:17 (twenty years ago)

So did DMB win any haters over with their Live8 performance then? ;)

FranklinT, Tuesday, 5 July 2005 14:52 (twenty years ago)

Nary a one here...I've been dragged to at least 6 of their shows, and am still not a fan.

Well, we've officially been invited to troll the DMB fan site. Any of you pusys (I think that's pronounced PYOO-sis) care enough to?

Didn't think so.

Pussy haters, Tuesday, 26 July 2005 19:25 (twenty years ago)

I am surprised to hear that card-carrying DMB fans are eager to advertise that they are "Pussy haters"!

Banana Nutrament (ghostface), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

The reason DMB fans want ilx0rs on their board is to:
a) Explain the universal appeal of Dave & co. and address any doubts we may have
b) Promote mutual understanding and tolerance as it's ok if you don't like Dave, man. We still have a lot in common.
c) Justify a closed worldview by calling anyone who dislikes Dave an idiot and a pussy, because apparently it's uber-masculine to like Dave Matthews, and we really find masculinity the only thing worth praising.

WOW!!!
it's like the past has come back to the present to poke the future in the butt and found that it only was poking what appears to be the local DQ...

still loather DMB and they're fans. i make it a special point to any/all whom i go out w/ and hang w/ that DMB will NOT be tolerated nor will we be discussing anything to do w/ DMB. as it will send me on a tizzy of rage filled drinking.

if DMB is played on a bar juke box, i will proceed to said juke box and kick it once, hard. usually it's enough to jar the idiocy loose.
sometimes not.

eedd, Tuesday, 26 July 2005 20:06 (twenty years ago)

My favorite has to be the guy towards the top who tried to sound all musically inclined by disecting how "bad" DMB was and has NEVER been to a live show. Another good one was the Live 8 performance, sorry if you didnt like it.... I'd like to see you put on a 2 and half hour + set the night before then fly to Philadelphia to put on a short set for a good cause then book it back to the same venue for another show that same night. I'll agree with the guy above .... you all are pussies.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 21:58 (twenty years ago)

I love how I did not read one musical reason of why to not like DMB besides the voice of Dave Matthews. This is a typical post: Dude, Dave sux cuz I don't like the fans of Dave. That is pure genious, I understand the if you do not like the band for musical reasons, but just because certain people like a band does not mean the band sucks. I dislike some fans that just go because it is dave and your not cool if you don't go to Dave. Go do something more productive with your time instead of this. And no I expect you will want me to give musical reasons why I like the band, I like Dave's voice, Carter is a badass and if you say he isn't you are an idiot, and they are one of the best bands ever live.

Thank you and have a great day.
