I saw a guy in Plymouth yesterday wearing a green t-shirt with "Rex The Dog?" in black writing on it.

At first i thought - woah cool, i'm gonna look for one of these on the internet.

but after searching everywhere and not turning anything up, maybe i saw Rex the dog?!?!

either way it was a cool shirt.

I've gone off "Frequencies" quite a bit. It doesn't have the residual air of melancholy which characterises all the rest of his best work, that property which allows it to make sense that he releases 12 inches on Kompakt.

S Express was actually Mike Morris - he also presented the football results on TVAM during those heady late 80s days

Yeah Mark Moore was the main guy in S Express but Mark McGuire was the engineer/techy behind the scenes guy who was also an engineer for Stock Aitken Waterman.

they wouldnt let a guy with 2 small releases and a knife remix under his belt do a Depeche Mode remix and a prodigy ( on their make or break release) remix if it was some nobody.

so its got to be a well known ( in the industry ) person.

or at least a studio enginner that people know well..

It's not Daniel Miller either. His music (what he actually releases) doesn't sound like Rex anyway.

I don't think it beats the Heartbeats mix overall but that had a better song to work with. The E-Talking mix feels like every Rex teh Dog production to date playing simultaneously!

oooh, stop sounding like craig from big brother everyone, i was just wondering who rex was and couldn't be fussed reading through the whole thread. my fave rex moment is either the prodigy reworking or that minimix he did with the mel & kim track. and heartbeats too, obv.
