i'm playing at the nomad on friday, with mama digd0wn's brass band. there will be free bbq (!) from six-one-two 'cue. psyched.

tonight! the bbq is no joke.

was already planning on checking this out, but, there's bbq??

yeah, erik started a bbq catering company in mpls (six-one-two 'cue) and they're providing food at set break. i asked if there will be anything for my veggie gf, and heard something about 'heirloom grits with white cheddar & fennel slaw'.

yeah i was not emotionally prepared for all that snow, but we chilled out on saturday, played a wedding in st paul that night, and drove back on sunday without a problem.

i've been playing with advance base, which is the new project of 0wen from c@siotone for the p@infully al0ne. they're playing at the ceder cultural center in minneapolis on june 6, and i will likely be playing at this show. it's very quiet, sad music, with lots of waltzes, and i am playing autoharp (!?!) and maybe a little omnichord. if gbx reads this, then he should know that j0dy will also be playing in this ensemble.
