there was a 'double fisted demo' 12" last year, on rong proper rather than the joint label. never bothered ordering it tho, it only had the one track!

this, like the yacht and panthers, are enjoyable but totally preaching to the choir

free blood more interesting but somehow i like it a bit less

juan maclean, and the mock and toof mixes of holy ghost were best of the recent lot i think. the original mix of that juan track sounds like a toughened-up human league or something.

panthers was good, i have the permanent vacation pressing of it (it's the same mixes). still not heard yacht tho.

wonder when they'll get the black meteoric star stuff out there, i got high hopes for that.

No. Only the DFA stuff that isn't somehow tied to major labels. Hercules & Love Affair's debut disc, for instance, isn't on eMusic.

cage & aviary put 'television train' out on that label dissident... would love someone to do a S/D on those dudes, they put out 40+ singles in about 12 months.

yes dissident is amazing- truffle club and naum gabo singles are worth checking out, also love the veros artis comps

Capracara has a new single out on DFA, "King of the Witches" with a Rub N Tug remix. He's previously had a single on Soul Jazz "Flashback 86 / Opal Rush" which were very 80s sounding acid house tracks.

i just heard the demo of mock & toof's underwater for the first time and it sounds hella like tunng (or indeed shack)

i dig this new capracara track. and the rub n tug remix is even better- that vocal sample is sorta seals the deal
