Hmmn, I've never really 'got' Amanda, but that's for another thread, though some months back when I saw a DJ play it twice in a night, I did note how well well it mixes.

Anyways, I was listening to In the End this morning, and was just reflecting on how it's essentially a Perfect Track. I can vividly see myself in 15 years pulling it out and thinking "damn!, it doesn't get much better than this."

yeah in this context it's clear "amanda" is basically a disco edit.

From the Tensnake interview on RA that was posted up thread, it's live as in his own material.

Yeah we saw him live at Corsica Studios a few months ago. It is just him and a laptop but on the other hand you get to see him play all his stuff on a (hopefully) decent soundsystem in a club environment.

same shows, Aeroplane's listed as DJing but Vito's advertising for an Australian girl singer to do the tour? confused promotion imo. (also stop worrying about someone who can do your album tracks, and hire Gisele to sing over your old stuff.)

*(though last year this meant that at 5pm a community radio show announced that Aeroplane, Riton, Tiefschwarz and 2Many DJs were playing in the basement of a gay bar on NYE)

Saw him last night and he was really great. To my surprise he played a live set, and he did it really well, very good flow, good working of the crowd, etc. The only problem was that at like 50-55 minutes it was too short.

I don't know his oeuvre that well, but he played a lot of tracks that I will make the assumption are unreleased, which sounded really good.

Doesn't he always just play live sets?

Pretty sure he's gone on record saying he can't DJ.

Basically this but with some on-the-fly tweaking, teasing out certain bits of "Coma Cat" to delay the drop of a familiar part, stuff like that. I had fun.
