haha. i wonder if "obsession" will even do well. on one hand i would like her to be relatively non-obscure so that "one" has an actual chance of being promoted on the radio. on the other, though... i just don't want to hear "obsession" on the radio at all ever. i think it goes for adds soon, will be interested to see how often it will be played + how much it will sell.

Okay.My album is no longer coming out on 1-11-11...unfortunately.It was done,but things/people constantly change within ALL record labels & in life (DUH!). I am now recording even more material for the record because I feel like I've grown (musically) since when I was 15-16 years old. All of the songs will eventually come out because they are all important to me. I'm trying to push for an EP to come out in February too. It's been extremely frustrating,but you know "these kinda things happen for a reason".Thank you for the support and I'm glad I can CLARIFY what's going on...Keep your eyes peeled for some big things happening this winter...STAY TUNED!<3

Ferreira will release an EP titled As If! on March 8, 2011 in the US.[12] According to Ferreira's official Facebook page, it will feature producers and co-writers Bloodshy & Avant, Greg Kurstin, Nicole Morier, Klas Åhlund, and Colin Munroe. Yeah, that was one of my highlights of 2010.

As for the ep, first two tracks "eh" last three tracks "YES!"

the ep just came out.

"sex rules" is "sex rules" and "traces" sounds like something from a pastiche of a disney princess movie, but the last 3 are pretty impressive imo. "108" has nice, typically klas ahlundian melodies.

i quite like the whole ep on one listen! much better songs than i'd heard from her before. also realised why i found appealing before, despite the substandard material - it's that too-cool-for-school LA snottiness in her voice.

Her voice is really starting to remind me of someone, but i can't quite place it.

I liked As If! from start to finish, although the last three songs are the pick of the bunch. She sounds a little more comfortable with a stronger electro/club sound.

Hard to evaluate, but it's got that Gary Glitter beat like "Obsession" and that kind of thing is forever tainted in my mind with regard to her. Actually, it doesn't sound bad like "Obsession," but it's such a short snip that I really can't tell.

Sounds a bit like Goldfrapp circa Supernature. Not a bad thing I guess... still not enough to tell.

It's still one of my favorites & I needed people to hear this before I come out with my new record which is in a way different direction.

I'm coming out with my debut album next year and a new single early 2012 (Feb. most likely)

I now have amazing management & a team who is extremely supportive. I'm so excited to move forward!

Hopefully I can release a dance record also that has all of my old demos & some new ones that are electro pop....
I never want to be restricted to do one "type" of music.I want to learn & make everything. At the end of the day music is music.
