whatsa audioscrobbler?

its this thing you download, and then when you play music on your computer, it adds it to the thing, then makes a page of what you have been playing. if you get in a group with a bunch of people, it makes a radio station, in this case it would be at http://www.lastfm.com/group/ilXor and plays popular things in the joint list, like mort garson, for example

adam... (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

It will not be playing any Mort Gorson.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Mort Garson is going down.

Sanjay McDougal (jaymc), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 19:41 (twenty-one years ago)

:| (....), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 19:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Have you heard that Mort Garson track with Dizzee on it? There's a Superpitcher remix of that which just KILLS.

adam... (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 19:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Interpol are covering it on their next record.

adam... (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Sanjay McDougal (jaymc), Wednesday, 24 November 2004 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Also Audioscrobbler publishes RSS feeds so you can read people's "last played" lists via an RSS reader (or a "live bookmark" in Firefox). I think the RDF/RSS 1.0 stuff is broken, which is a pity, but you can get RSS 2.0 feeds at URIs like

Chris, I like your stats the most if only because they are so pleasingly consistent with my idea of what I know/imagine you listen to.

I really like Mort Garson, though! I am missing one track off of Plantasia that I need to get off of you. Next time you are in SF, *@*.*, you must make sure to meet the ILM poster "milton", if you haven't already.

adam... (nordicskilla), Friday, 26 November 2004 05:03 (twenty-one years ago)

ILM radio is a manifestation of the hivemind.

Snnap Dragon (snnap dragon), Friday, 26 November 2004 09:44 (twenty-one years ago)

it wasnt until the last.fm guys added dizee rascal to the repertoire.

:| (....), Friday, 26 November 2004 11:38 (twenty-one years ago)

The best new things I've heard so far on Radio ILM have been Colleen's 'Ritournelle' and Murcof's 'Mapa'.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 26 November 2004 11:43 (twenty-one years ago)

How the hell do you access Radio ILM? I don't see any link for that

Baaderonixxx le Jeune (Fabfunk), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Just Kate (papa november), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:20 (twenty-one years ago)

"1,5 kg otlichnogo pjure". what is otlichnogo?

:| (....), Sunday, 28 November 2004 12:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Belurussian suet?

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 28 November 2004 12:49 (twenty-one years ago)

With a murderous despot like Lukashenko in charge I’d like to imagine Belarus would be fertile ground for punk – Britain under Callaghan/Wilson was sweetness and light in comparison. Sadly I expect they sound like a collection of Green Day b-sides.

stevo (stevo), Sunday, 28 November 2004 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

otlichnogo menas "high qulity, excellecnt, great". maybe itsl ike "high-grade" here osr something. i remember epople talking about this banmd but i never saw em. im not really down with russian drug vocab so i am missing something, or maybe it refers to something totally differernt. ussian bands have very esoteric names eg the Yekataringburg band "Agata Kristi"!!!! or one of the best venues in Moscow is called "the chinese pilot Dzhao-da"!??!

ambrose (ambrose), Sunday, 28 November 2004 13:35 (twenty-one years ago)
