bernard goony (The Reverend), Thursday, 2 September 2010 09:24 (fifteen years ago)

haha i don't think they even say "assmilk" in "assmilk", the title is kinda gratuitous tbh, not that i mind

bernard goony (The Reverend), Thursday, 2 September 2010 09:25 (fifteen years ago)

but the outsider often works within a kind of unreality? at least there's a certain suspension of disbelief at play. like...do i think earl is even attempting to present an authentic representation of his individual reality? fuck no! obviously there's a basis in his real life, but the embellishments are plain to the naked eye.

but the reality isn't in the stories told or the pose adopted, it's in your sense of who he is and where he's coming from underneath all that. i get this really clear sense of place & time from this shit: american teen stoner, time to kill, room in the basement, get fucked up & play video games, lolz, trees, etc. that's the reality, and to my mind, it's not all that different than what the local hero trades in.

nothing says you have to listen to them, but i don't get this kind of line at all. at least deej did listen to some of this before dismissing it.

unfinested display names I have loved (The Reverend), Saturday, 4 September 2010 04:46 (fifteen years ago)

i'm not dismissing it, I am going to listen to it eventually since I was intrigued by that video I saw a month ago, plus the co-signs from you, jordan, etc.

suckin deez in belize (The Brainwasher), Saturday, 4 September 2010 04:50 (fifteen years ago)

it's just that they kind of "blew up" out of nowhere all of a sudden so I'm a little wary

suckin deez in belize (The Brainwasher), Saturday, 4 September 2010 04:51 (fifteen years ago)

i'm sorry as fuck! i'm sorry as fuck!

J0rdan S., Saturday, 4 September 2010 04:57 (fifteen years ago)

they didn't "blow up". b.o.b. blew up. ofwgkta have a small (but yes, growing) internet following.

So, what's the deal with Earl right now anyway? You and him got any new stuff on the way and if so, in a duo capacity or two solos? [Editors Note- the 16-year old Earl is supposedly in a boot camp right now]

Lets just say, “Free Earl.” I miss him so much, that’s my brother, man. We had an EARL/WOLF project in the works, on some Red x Meth, Madvillain type shit, but that’s on fucking hold. And yeah, we were both working on our new solo albums, but now it’s just me working on WOLF. I don’t want to talk about him anymore.

:-( :-( :-(

FREE EARL
