Ghost - classic or dud, search and destroy

you are kidding right? ever seen Fushitsusha live? I am guessing not ... Boris are so mediocre , Fushitsusha move mountains

why would i have seen them live? after hearing so much about the legendary haino that i had to investigate, i was treated to albums worth of really dull stoner garage.

Boris are seriously one of the lamest bands ever. They put their finger to the wind, thought that being Japanese and doing sludge a-la Melvins would be the way to go. dude I bought the fucking Melvins 'Bullhead' LP on Boner when the fucker first came out. so "Boris" decided to tie their wagon to the Japanese hard rock tradition. well, they don't match up. it actually depresses me that folks like Akita work with them. And people like 'call all destroyer' get all defensive about their beloved Boris. Fuck Boris, they fucking suck compared to the great Japanese rock bands

i have a love-hate feeling about elton john's catalog. half-love (someone saved my life tonight; levon), half-hate (island girl; the bitch is back; almost anything post 1979).

as far as 'unlikely places for a clusterfuck' goes, this is pretty good.

I like most of the bands in question! Ghost were decent enough but kinda boring live though, besides the guitar heroics of Kurihara.

yeah, 'Madman' is a cool LP too, has that guy B.J. Cole on slide guitar

boris are hit or miss but when they hit they hit hard

thing is, they're so hit or miss that I've stopped paying attention unless kurihara is in the mix.

Ghost: love 'em, enjoy a good number of the albums. Saw them live a year or two ago in front of maybe 100 people and they killed it. Great psychedelic set that meandered and then refocused. My girlfriend loved them too.

Boris: awesome band, great live show. The albums can be hit-or-miss, but they have at least 9-10 albums that HIT and hit hard.

Melvins: legendary, and incredible. Can't beat their live show either. I've seen them blow numerous headliners off the stage as they knocked out the opening slot.

Fushitsusha: still exploring their catalog (CDs are hard to find/expensive!) but I've liked what I've heard, though not quite as much as...

Keiji Haino: ...whose solo efforts are generally quite awesome, and preferable to Fushitsusha.

Elton John: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

I like Ghost, I like Boris, but man, Rainbow bores me. Is Cloud Chamber much different?

Pretty crazy how Boris changed from "good" to "one of the lamest bands ever" in the space of two hours last night - they must be feeling pretty devastated right now :(

I like Ghost, Fushitsusha and Keiji Haino, but not Boris, Melvins or Elton John. Can someone give me a 30-page character assessment now?
