I really wonder if people have bothered to listen to anything more than 20 years old. A shame, really.

I haven't looked at 101-280 so can't comment. Just sad to see classics devalued for the another Boringus record.

Honestly, I think it should be skewed slightly against modern stuff - the older stuff has been vetted again and again, winnowed, weighed and only the best has made it through (not counting Manilla Road or a few others whose cult seem well represented here). The newer stuff may be as good, or even better, but it will take some time for it's value to be assessed.

Flood & Zep III are both freaking classic!!! The Boris wz #10 on my ballot.

Flood is monumental...a lot to digest (hence the Boringus tag) but the patience is definitely rewarded.

Boris is a blind spot for me - I've checked out five or six records and not found one I cared to play again.

I haven't looked at 101-280 so can't comment.

Don't put words in my or anyone else's mouth. Wasn't talking about today, was talking about the top 100 so far; roughly 2/3 posted to this point is from the last 20 years as opposed to the 20 odd years prior.

if BBW, Stag, and Tab places, then Drugs will be a happy camper! :D

I do dislike this album, but it has some good songs on it-->What Is and What Should Never Be, Ramble On, Heartbreaker, Living Loving Maid, even Whole Lotta Love. But it's a fucking chore to sit through. Way worse than the slowest longest Boris album.

this certainly did not get my vote. If you could put negative votes in, to essentially negate somebody else's positive vote, i would vote this #1

GAPDYX made it to the top 10 because a lot of people genuinely like those bands; those results didn't surprise me at all. It's really easy to see several vociferous haters and just assume that everyone else agrees with them, or to take burnout by critics on an album as an indicator of burnout by the listeners but there's really no correlation in either case.

see this poll is just making me want to pick up all of the LZ albums because I only ever owned IV on cassette and I keep being reminded that pretty much all of them have fucking amazing songs on them

actually I had a copy of II back in high school and I'm sorry but if you think something with "Ramble On" and "Whole Lotta Love" is a chore to sit through, you are not actually human

Zep II was my first Zep album, bought used for 50¢ in 1981. Played it to death for years, and don't need to hear it to bring track after track to mind. Definitely burned out on it (and didn't vote for it) but I still recall it fondly.

(lol I was going to follow up with "so sez the dude who forgot to vote for Led Zepplin II" but looking back on my ballot, I did)

(also I'm going out on a very creaky limb and predicting that IV is going to be #1)

If there is any justice Black Sabbath's self-titled debut should be #1.
