Oh yeah, love the sound of Napalm in the morning.
― rhythm fixated member (chap), Monday, 9 August 2010 15:52 (fifteen years ago)
I prefer the later, more developed stuff though - the ultra-short grindcore albums are amusing and cool conceptually, but not something I'd sit down and listen too very often.
― rhythm fixated member (chap), Monday, 9 August 2010 15:53 (fifteen years ago)
something thrashy coming up
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 August 2010 15:57 (fifteen years ago)
Devil horns at the ready.
― rhythm fixated member (chap), Monday, 9 August 2010 15:58 (fifteen years ago)
Though actually I'm reading this listening to the rather downbeat and airy new Skream album, maybe I should switch up to something more appropriate.

― A prog venn diagram for you to think about (Matt #2), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:02 (fifteen years ago)
Think the consensus is that Seasons in the Abyss is better. With which I would agree.
― rhythm fixated member (chap), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:03 (fifteen years ago)
Seasons was 252
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:06 (fifteen years ago)
Bad, bad placing.
― Chicago to Philadelphia: "Suck It" (Bill Magill), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:06 (fifteen years ago)
Oh okay, I am terrible at consensus judging and remembering things.
I'm just going to post my favourite Slayer riff anyway, from Seasons:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xw4XIkupL30

― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:37 (fifteen years ago)
Real metal at least
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:43 (fifteen years ago)
nothing against 'real' metal, everything against people for whom comparative quality is an issue of vintage
― visit europe more (acoleuthic), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:45 (fifteen years ago)
What about people who wont listen to stuff because it's before 1990?
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 August 2010 16:47 (fifteen years ago)
No idea what that means, but the issue is simple: I think South of Heaven is a top 10 album of all time. It didnt place there, if that makes me guilty of "comparative vintage" or whatever the fuck you are trying to say in your previous post, then guilty as charged.
xpost

He means ppl think only stuff released a long time ago is worthy of all time status and he disagrees.

The Unida is the best thing John Garcia & Scott Reeder did post Kyuss.

― people are for loving (HI DERE), Monday, 9 August 2010 17:37 (fifteen years ago)
I didn't vote for either of those.
I'm placing all this early 90's pseudo-hard-rock in your lap then, hi dere. Sorry.
― Without warning, a wizard walks by. (Viceroy), Monday, 9 August 2010 17:38 (fifteen years ago)
I voted for both of those.

What's the votes/points for South of Heaven? I am shocked, SHOCKED! That was in my top 10.
― Fastnbulbous, Monday, 9 August 2010 17:42 (fifteen years ago)
you can definitely blame me for Jane's Addiction, yeah; I'm also probably the reason why The Land of Rape and Honey beat out the other Ministry albums
― people are for loving (HI DERE), Monday, 9 August 2010 17:44 (fifteen years ago)
This isn't done yet? I'm surprised.
Can you change the title when you hit the top 50? Thanks.
