Yeah, that is too low. I wonder if Songs for the Deaf will do better.

Mordy, Saturday, 7 August 2010 17:33 (fifteen years ago)

ez snappin will be pleased it's low

pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 August 2010 17:35 (fifteen years ago)

Presumably we have yet to see some Kyuss albums too.

Mordy, Saturday, 7 August 2010 17:37 (fifteen years ago)

There was like 30+ more voters in the albums poll rather than the tracks poll, plus a few who voted in the tracks poll didn't submit a ballot. So not surprisingly results might be a bit different. So expect some surprises, left outs, too lows, wtfs and lots of GREAT albums.

one thing: BM seems set to overwhelm all other sub-genres of modern metal (doom being the sole possible exception, of course).

oh and Boris doesn't belong on a top 300 anything poll except for maybe top 300 boring hipster false metal acts.

I read just a couple days ago in Decibel's In The Studio article that Kylesa's big inspiration for the new record is Flower Travellin' Band (they also mention, er, Built To Spill). When Satori popped up here I took it as a sign to finally hear it, and bought the CD at Reckless. A numbered edition out of 1000 on Phoenix records for $15, not bad! I'm nearly finished with the first listen and like it a lot. Nice guitar tones, cool riffs. Thanky Satan-Bunny and the eight of you who voted for it!
