Ah yes, ICP put out a fatwah on Mark Dancey because he did an incredibly wicked cartoon satire on them called "Down with Clowns" in Spin magazine -- it was dead-on in nailing the ICP fanbase as drunk suburban wannabe-gangsta rednecks. But Dancey said that since he hung out in places like libraries, he wasn't worried because he'd never run into an ICP fan there.

ICP was "on the money" about Faygo, though.

"Fuck the World" was a considerably better pop-age history list song than REM or Billy Joel. I was especially impressed with how ICP didn't like the Berlin Wall ("both sides of it") and rhymed gonorrhoea with Rocky Maivia. Rest of their stuff? The one album I've heard, very dud.

My personal favorite ICP memory is one time I was going to a club in downtown minneapolis. To get there, I had to walk by the Target Center, in which there was a Jimmy Buffet concert taking place that night. At the same time, a block away, there was an ICP concert taking place at The Quest (formerly Prince's Glam Slam).....anyway, The Quest is right across the street from The Pickled Parrot which is a "tropical" themed sports bar which had a outside party to honor the Buffet show....This lead to a very funny stare-down across the street between the Juggalos and the Parrotheads...I almost expected the Beat It video to break out at any moment....Also funny for when I overheard a middle-aged dork with a stupid Parrot hat thingy and a hideous garish Hawaiin shirt refer to how he didn't know how those "freaks" (The Juggalos) could "dress like that"....I was thinking "Dude, have you looked in the mirror? At least the Juggalos had the excuse of being 16!

maybe i have my juggagraphics muddled but have always assumed that they are largely from the alienated permanent-service class and as such are natural reds, as opposed to suburban professionals who are natural fash. as the juggalos also seem to be largely white i'm glad they are inoculating themselves against the usual american technique for bridging this gap.
