Adding a lime to a Corona is the only way I'd drink one. And even then, it's still a Corona. But to be fair, it is a very, er, easy drink? I mean it's obvious why they drink it where it's hot, I guess. But Edmonton = not hot 95% of the time.

there are tons of better 'easy' beers tho -- modelo, presidente, red stripe etc

Oh, I don't disagree. I like Modelo. But I'm not the biggest fan of those kind of light beers, tbh.

Magic Hat is out of Burlington, VT so may not be available in Western Canada. I've seen it tons of places in Quebec and the Maritimes though. Bit of a road trip.

I drink every night, either wine or liquor. Life without alcohol would lose some of its attraction, although notice I said nothing about getting trashed.

corona is not "beer," but with a lime it is a valid thing. i would actually buy it more but for some reason i can drink them like twice as fast as any other beer and that just leads to problems.

i was drinking high lives @ a club that was too loud & made my ears ring. then i hooked up w. my ex. that was ok tho

i went to a party on hawthorne bridge w/ a cracking brass band then went to pdx pop and saw some band called hockey who were pretty good, danced to shitty new wave rarities in rotture, then watched this virtuosic drummer playing his 12-hour composition outside for a couple hours before going home

i didn't drink tho, i'm out of beer money. i can't afford to drink every night :(

i had girls all on me at rotture btw. apparently, as made apparent the past few days, girls love a cleanshaven me, which probably means i will stay that way until i get lazy again

some of my thoughts on this album

-some good rap songs on it, but also a lot of crit-bait and wacky left turns that probably seemed like really wild ideas at the time but aren't really that interesting to listen to. the pitfalls of forcing that kind of wild creative spontaneity are put on display here. like prose with really outré adjectives that is not really fundamentally interesting

-some comment upthread about it being "so musical" reminds me of how i felt about fishscale when it came out. but fischscale is way better. and blaqkout is waaaaaay better. i get that this is the perennial surprisingly fresh old man rap album and those are the only rap albums that get rated these days, but it's not up to par with those of previous years & while i hope people do really love and get pleasure out of this album, a lot of what i have read feels forced.

-deeply feeling rtc's point about "lingering air of inconsequence."

-the yelawolf verse is by far the best rapping on the entire album. and yeah, tim is totally otm about trunk muzik being album of the year.

i guess that was a dickish thing to say. there's a different between an album's selling point and it's talking points and so far the talking points are not getting to what i find good about this album

"general patton" just sounds like dipset circa "get em girls". u mostly otm tho.
