Message: ok, first of all, a lot of you people who are dave bashing all are hypocritical asses. Don't give me that crap about dave matthews being a racist and not having any talent. Why don't you get your damn facts straight before YOU start sounding IGNORANT...oh...wait...i think it's a little too late for that. Dave was born in south africa and like most of the normal people on this message board said....dave's music comes from the experience of hearing the music of south africa. and what's the crap about having all his "black" members stand behind him on stage...well..let me give you a little wake up call......go to a dave concert asses and take a look. he steps away and lets boyd (the guy on the electric fiddle) take the stage. So YET AGAIN you are WRONG. I am not going to bash marilyn manson or whatever music you listen to. What i am going to say is Dave is a brillian musician, and songwriter. Ever listen to his lyrics? they have so much MEANING to them....got that... M E A N I N G! So take a chance and listen to his music before you go and start with the dave hate.....cut the crap.

they are britsh. haha, the music videos are kinda sketchy but i heart their music. if you like them then also go for 'the dandy warhols' and rhcp... maybe even sublime

Trying again, I got halfway through Everyday and promptly fell asleep.

I can't get over how uninteresting they've become. I remember thinking there was at least something interesting there the first time I heard anything from Under the Table....

Erin, I'm going to re-post a statement of mine from wa-hey back in 2003 (last June) that addresses your question:

Should it require more than a few CDs and singles to form an opinion of this band? If their readily available material (presumably the music the band felt most satisfied with to represent them) fails to create a favorable impression, why do you have such a seemingly damn hard time fathoming how -- for even a nanosecond -- that you may actually indeed be mistaken in your assertion that the DMB's music is anything other than bog-fucking-standard?

Dave, being the philanthropist he is, should start sponsoring some English classes as his opening act. He really does have a lot of fans with poor writing skills.

Is that what that's supposed to do? I think the world would be an infinetely finer place if Les Twins Olsen immersed themselves in Killing Joke and Devo.

hehe- andrew goes to my school. we have known each other since the fourth grade. another thing to consider- i go to school in a really snobbish town in CT (as if CT doesnt imply snobbyness already), and most of the ppl really love dmb. 'crush' was the theme for the junior prom! so for ppl like andrew, its unfathomable that some1 out there DOESNT like dmb. he also flips out if u dislike led zepplin.

If it turns out that he's a professional music critic (and if he owns this CD he almost certainly is), odds are that he's a bed-wetter and probably allergic to sex.
