Chain Reaction - comprising Bobby Davis, Bruce Ruffin (no relation) and Dave Barker ('Dave' of '...and Ansel Collin')were a strange Philly type soul/ reggae crossover, with great singing - I have two LPs by them, one - Indebted to You - on Gull c 1976 and one a bit later - Chase a Miracle(?). When I got the latter I thought it was a different group of the same name: the first record could have come from Philly, the second unmistakably from JA via NW10...both fine in their own way, though.

Joe Gibbs has some excellent almost entirely disco-based tunes. Bionic Encounter is like a dubbed-out version of "Runaway" by Loleatta Holloway. He also has a version of "I Want Your Love".

Sadly (well not that sadly, but for the purposes of this thread), the "disco" part of the title only refers to where one would hear it, not the music style.

probably already said in this thread, but 'discomix' in reggae generally refers to a combination of the original vocal mix plus either the dub mix or the dj version.
