cutty, Saturday, 15 May 2010 00:17 (sixteen years ago)

Scribble is a collaboration with (drum'n'bass artist) High Contrast and sounds like it. Good stuff.

Great song, but the video kinda distracts from its awesomeness.

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Saturday, 15 May 2010 01:43 (sixteen years ago)

Second thought: vocals too high in the mix.

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Saturday, 15 May 2010 01:45 (sixteen years ago)

you are wrong on both accounts

Scribble sounds pretty good! I hope the full length version is similar to the second half of this live track it seems to be based on:

One of the best videos I have seen. Seriously, no joke

The song's not bad either. Maybe even better

rhythm fixated member (chap), Saturday, 15 May 2010 19:12 (sixteen years ago)

The new one, that is.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Saturday, 15 May 2010 19:12 (sixteen years ago)

Ah, apparently High Contrast is involved. That makes sense.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Saturday, 15 May 2010 19:14 (sixteen years ago)

Just re-cued the drop after the breakdown about six times.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Saturday, 15 May 2010 19:18 (sixteen years ago)

He's just loving music. Car passenger seat. Carl H - aged 78 Rocking out.
Zero bullshit

Fer Jessie the Drunk Dutch Mountain Ark (Mobbed Up Ping Pong Psychos), Saturday, 15 May 2010 20:57 (sixteen years ago)

like i said earlier, the video is uplifting. the lyrics + the smile on his face... really great

cutty, Saturday, 15 May 2010 22:28 (sixteen years ago)

Wow, this is the best Underworld track I've heard in 16 years! As always with Underworld, the vocals are totally useless though. They should've just dropped the singing altogether when they went techno. Thankfully, there's not much vocals on "Scribble", and they're buried deep into the mix, so they don't distract from what's awesome about the tune.

Tuomas, Saturday, 15 May 2010 22:34 (sixteen years ago)

Cutty spot on.

It's been on a loop in our house tonight.

Two year old son loved it. Really did.Threw down some joyous shapes before nights

Wifey not so fussed with me, after the 45th play " look at his fucking lovely grinning face, sat in the passenger seat. And the tune, it's so simply beautiful"

She gone to bed rgertting who the fuck she got wrapped up with

Might give it another blast

Fer Jessie the Drunk Dutch Mountain Ark (Mobbed Up Ping Pong Psychos), Saturday, 15 May 2010 22:39 (sixteen years ago)

hah i feel the same exact way. listening on repeat!! not getting old yet...

cutty, Saturday, 15 May 2010 22:43 (sixteen years ago)

right there with you guys. sun is shining and i've got the 2 new underworld tracks in a playlist on repeat. heavenly way to usher in the summer

brotherlovesdub, Saturday, 15 May 2010 22:59 (sixteen years ago)

this group would so capitalize off this 90s revival better than anyone
its nice 2 hear breakbeats again after all this disco revival

Gifted Unlimited Display Names Universal (deej), Sunday, 16 May 2010 00:01 (sixteen years ago)

As always with Underworld, the vocals are totally useless though.

I think they're pretty touching on this. Like the harmonies on "You give me everything I need".

its nice 2 hear breakbeats again after all this disco revival

Hell yes.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Sunday, 16 May 2010 00:06 (sixteen years ago)

i love the vocals on this btw

Gifted Unlimited Display Names Universal (deej), Sunday, 16 May 2010 00:07 (sixteen years ago)

the vocals are a big part of what makes this

sonderangerbot, Sunday, 16 May 2010 00:08 (sixteen years ago)

love the vocals, the way they soar over the rhythm is just wonderful. and they've been stuck in my head for the past 24 hours.

VERY PLEASED, UNDERWORLD, I WILL BUY THIS ALBUM FROM YOUR WEB SITE.

cutty, Sunday, 16 May 2010 00:16 (sixteen years ago)

Haha, only just listened to/watched Underneath the Radar for the first time. Fuckin hell, unexpected. Quite good though.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Monday, 17 May 2010 00:29 (sixteen years ago)

Easily my single of the year so far. Like the vocals too.

Sundar, Monday, 17 May 2010 00:42 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah this is great. Easily the best thing they've done since "Two Months Off"

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 17 May 2010 00:47 (sixteen years ago)

What a great song! Kinda sounds more like "High Contrast feat. Underworld" though.

reminds me hard of the last Underworld video from 2007:

(which came out close to this Fall clip that made me think there was going to be a new wave of clips of Old Men Blatantly On Pills)

Haha, only just listened to/watched Underneath the Radar for the first time. Fuckin hell, unexpected. Quite good though.

BTW chap, I dug out and rebroadcast these a couple of years ago (and some champ captured them for youtube), check it out (two songs and an awkward interview "live" on oz telly in 1988)

Wang Chung Parliament (sic), Monday, 17 May 2010 02:20 (sixteen years ago)
