It is hard to understand, actually. Is it because it's "before your era" or something? Might it be that you simply haven't heard *ENOUGH* music that was recorded prior to 1990? Also, it's not like 1990 was some crucial watermark year like 1969 or 1977 (or ever 1994). Why 1990?

I don't see anyone vetoing Al Green yet...nor do I see how anyone with an ounce of taste or sense or just plain human decency (not to mention genitalia) could do so. He is king.

Cheap Trick, though. It seems hard to imagine disliking those first three CT albums...and I think every band Barrus mentioned, besides the Minutemen, are pretty unimpeachable, but I know people who dislike em each and all...)
