n between bouts of giggles, she asks, "Is that me tripping? Does that look like Liam at all?"
The video, which was shot five days after her birthday, ends in Cyrus saying, "I want more of that s---," after laughing and rambling incomprehensibly.

the only thing that has to be more annoying than miley cyrus irl is miley cyrus on drugs
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 11 December 2010 07:44 (fifteen years ago)
at least the younger generation will have its lohan tho
miley cyrus is easy to ignore. miley cyrus on drugs is easy to ignore. the truly annoying thing imo is the ghoulishness of media outlets that sit perched in feverish expectation of the next young popstar to undergo lohan-style personal crises

In January 2010, shooting for Hannah Montana's final episodes began. "Season four, it was a disaster," he says. "I was going to work every single day knowing that my family had fallen apart, but yet I had to sit in front of that camera. I look back and I go, How did I ever make it through that? I must be a better actor than I thought."

Michael Jackson—I was trying to reach out to Michael Jackson. I knew he had kids, and I was going to invite his kids down to a taping of Hannah—I just felt it would be good for Michael. I don't know why. I met Michael one time at the Grammys. He sat in front of me, in the front row, and a dime rolled out from under and hit my boot—this very boot I've got on—and I reached down and picked up this dime, and looked, he was going through his pockets, and I said, 'Are you looking for this?' 'Thank you.' And he took that dime and put it back in his pocket. I looked at my manager, I just said, 'Why did Michael Jackson have a dime?...' Nobody could tell me."
hahahahah awesome

no, no you're not.
actually, you're as good an actor as your daughter is a singer.

"For the record," he abruptly announces, "to set it straight, I want to tell you: I've never made a dime off of Miley.
i find this hard to believe in a direct sense, and it's certainly untrue in an indirect sense.
― Daniel, Esq., Tuesday, 15 February 2011 18:56 (fifteen years ago)
the impression that lingers from this article is how utterly impossible it must be to have a father-daughter relationship in a situation like this, and how bizzare it must be to ride your minor daughter's coattailes for the long-tail of your own (momentarily bright) career.
― Daniel, Esq., Tuesday, 15 February 2011 19:06 (fifteen years ago)
Kurt Cobain had just died, and that really had an impact on me. He was one of those guys that became a friend to me that I never expected. We met at a venue one night, some big coliseum somewhere—his rig was pulling out and mine was pulling in—and I was standing in the shadows, 1 a.m. in the morning, and he's 'Hey man, congratulations—you pissed the whole world off.' We shook hands, and I said, 'Thanks, man... I love what you all do.'"

the writer laid it on a little thick with making sure we knew he was holding it all from a cynical arm's length and getting in some easy jokes, but yeah, good read
― some dude, Wednesday, 16 February 2011 02:39 (fifteen years ago)
It's unexpectedly stark, simple, and beautiful, its opening lines an unacknowledged, desolate, distant echo of the song that paid for this house in the first place:Cold wind's blowingSat here knowingMy heart's about to break
...beautiful.

Mmm, I thought the details about the medical endorsement and the faintly horrified publicist and all were good to acknowledge. Then again Heath's one of my favorite writers in music flat out, so I admit bias.
― Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 16 February 2011 02:52 (fifteen years ago)
i didn't mean those details, just some of the other bits felt like cheap shots or unnecessary extra effort at playing up the levity
― some dude, Wednesday, 16 February 2011 02:54 (fifteen years ago)
the piece definitely wants to remind you it's not in people but i think it's basically fine, rigorous, etc.. i also liked:
the late comedian Bill Hicks would draw easy audience roars of approval when he'd share his idea for a TV show called Let's Hunt and Kill Billy Ray Cyrus.
because bill hicks in drawing easy roars of approval shocker
― difficult listening hour, Wednesday, 16 February 2011 02:56 (fifteen years ago)

my impression of Cyrus is that he's a really simple man. not simple like he's discovered some kind of Eastern tranquility. simple like he doesn't have a lot going on in his head and he's kinda a dolt. not that that is necessarily a bad thing but he seems so pathetic and out of his element.
