Holy shit, the capacity of the club is only a few hundred, right? What time did you guys start playing?

capacity is officially 400 but can actually fit 550+ in. we played 9pm - 4am.

so did you have 400 people in from the start? sounded like there was a major switch to dancier stuff around 10.30-11 but i guess with so little room for dancing that wasn't really an issue anyway. xp

I'm assuming they did, did you see the picture of the line in broad daylight?

it was full within about 30 minutes of the doors opening (took a while to get people in). the start of the night was always our chance to play music not for dancing to although on sunday, people were dancing to even the most undanceable music at the start.

I'm trying to imagine people dancing to "Song of the Siren"...

i have fond memories of dancing at Optimo to "The Passenger", at Planet Peach, when about 30 people were there. the bouncers were horrible, it was a horrible venue, but so much fun nonetheless.

The sub club website says that tonight (8th of August) is Twitch and Wilkes. I don't believe that for some reason, but as it is my last Sunday night in Glasgow ever I'd like to know if I should make it down.

P.S. My friend wants to know if I can look after her dogs for the night so it's not a case of just not bothering to go down. I can either go or stay in.

yup, we're both playing philly on both the 25th and 27th (25th is a bar gig where i will be playing rock n' roll), 27th is making time and then we're playing sunday best in brooklyn on the 29th.

i haven't decided who is playing the club in glasgow on the 5th yet but will probably be some of our local residents - we're both in croatia that day.
