surfboard dudes get wiped out, totally, Friday, 23 April 2010 13:46 (sixteen years ago)

xp gone hate gone hate gone hate

On Wednesday I was hanging out with my sister buying a shower curtain at Wal-Mart and in the check-out line I started singing Drake to my sister and the cash register person. The cash register person said,

"You sing good Drake."

Then we went to the parking lot with all our shower gear and as we were getting into our car, these two girls were getting out of theirs, and one of them said to me,

"Hey, I have two Drake tickets for tonight but I can't go. Would you guys like them, like, for free?"

OH MAN! If I hadn't've had so much school work I definitely would've taken my sister to Drake!

The next day in class I asked all everyone whether they went to see Drake. I sang a little for them and they were all very respectful and appreciative. Then a girl in back caught the idea that we were talking about DRAKE and she said,

"I was there! He brought this girl up on stage, and he was pulling her hair back, and kissing on her neck."

"That sounds gross," somebody said.

"Whatever, I wish it was me!" I think everyone felt that way. They all wanted to be breathed on by Drake and have their necks kissed. I know I did. Or that could've been my sister! She'd've had such a thrill up there with Drake.

The girl in my class said Birdman was there and that the evening all around was super sexy. Then people started talking about Akon.

artie flange (J0rdan S.), Friday, 23 April 2010 17:31 (sixteen years ago)

Oh, I thought about Birdman's face when I was writing that sentence, but probably should've made two sentences. Girl was excited about Birdman, though. She called him "the Birdman."

The Way We Rap Now

This cut didn’t make the album because they couldn’t clear the Coldplay sample.

artie flange (J0rdan S.), Friday, 23 April 2010 18:19 (sixteen years ago)

one would have thought chris martin would have intervened personally, thought he was down!

even enya let the fugees sample her, once she was assured they weren't "gangsta rappers" of course

New Dizzee Rascal song in the same vein as "Dance Wiv Me" is great fun. Only a radio rip around now, but does Dizzee does feel-good party jams better than most these days. Really liking it.

rennavate, Friday, 23 April 2010 23:04 (sixteen years ago)

Er, called "Dirtee Disco." Its hooks is pretty non-existent, but Dizzee's charm and the beat are what you're showing up for, anyways.

first quarter's always slow for rap full-lengths, but newish stuff i've been listening to: the styles p./green lantern, yelawolf, freeway, fab's gangsta grillz, jay electronica, a bunch of baltimore stuff as usual.
