you don't get that on this single and the "version" of don't don't is pretty poor. i either have a horribly corrupted file of this or the transition from heartbreak to don't don't is one of the most bizarrely clumsy things i've heard on a record.

Think I'll hold out for the full LOLO retrospective.

i dunno, dfa put out so many awesome singles last year it can't really live up to it this year imo. hearing pat mahoney drop spaghetti circus last year might be the highlight of my life so far.

i like the crystal ark single and the new shit robot more than any dfa from 2009 as far as i can remember.

actually apart from the "psychic city" classix remix.

what i'm saying is that they had a great year in 2009 and they're shaping up for an even better one this year.

ive never really come round to shit robot, i think the name puts me off, also have not heard this psychic city remix, but i have mixed feelings abt the orig.

i hate the name too actually, i have no idea why anyone would want to name themselves that, BUT if you don't hear "i got a feeling" then you're seriously missing out. song of the year s far for me.

LePoop. I like the name and i think he's one of the most talented guys on the DFA roster. His remix of Dragon and all his 12" kill me. Can't wait for his LP.

Really loving "I Know, I Hear"- does anyone know what the sample at the start of the track is from? It sounds really familiar but I can't place it ("prophet five, factory programs, January 1982, file one")

Thanks for the heads up on that Holy Ghost EP. It's nice to hear DFA-style dance tracks that don't beat you over the head with genre touchstones and hipster shoutouts but are still fun to listen to.

The Shit Robot album arrived in the post today. The basslines are so gloopy it's unreal.

The track with Alexis Taylor is better than anything on the last Hot Chip LP pretty much. And I really like that album.
