i really like the touch my body song but the video is so gross I can never watch it. I found this freeze button on my remote though, the fun you can have making mariah pause in a weird face is great!

album is pretty good - not amazing or anything, a lot more pop/dance leaning than Mimi.. "O.O.C" "Side Effects" "For The Record" "I Stay In Love" "Lovin U Long Time" and "Cruise Control" are my faves so far (besides "touch my body")

i can only think of 3 mariah carey songs.

definitely more pop/dance, which i'm lovin! i don't know, i think it might definitely become amazing with a few spins.

i heard a different sequence than the vh1 listener above, but i think i generally agree w/ those comments. my only complaint was that 'ooc' doesn't have a outrageous vocals in the bridge. 'side efx' could be this year's 'umbrella' imo.

so i think the "this is great but not amazing" observation really translates to = this is so seamless you forget it took effort kind of thing. really a grand effort! ;-)

i want "i'll be lovin ya long time" to hit no. 1. i just think of high school, cars, friends and beer when it's on =P

if you'd like my reasoning: the joy in Mariah's song is much subtler and more nuanced, whereas "Good Life" is based on IN YOUR FACE autotone/"PYT" sample.

also, not sure if 'joy' is what i meant...more like Mariah's performance is subtler

Because the two songs sound exactly alike. Both sound great the first couple times and start getting a little old after that.

"Touch My Body" and "I'm That Chick" are both pretty great. Not really feeling too much of the rest of this album. Actually downright hate "Side Effects."

Well the two main reasons for me hating "Side Effects" are a) the music and b) the lyrics.

Didn't really like this on 1st spin... all the songs seemed too generic... But it's grown on me a lot in the last 3 hours.. Can't get enough of Loving you long time and side effects is kinda stunning.

"I Stay In Love" is breathtaking. It wouldn't sound out of place on Music Box or Daydream.

I don't know if it's the production or what but I Stay in Love sounds like a chris brown ballad to me... Or maybe it's cos he's been doing mariah ballads... Anyway i love her voice in this one
