This may be stretching "couplet"....

You cool out to the music 'cause it makes you feel serene, with the birds and the bees and all those groovy things
Like getting stomach aches when you gotta go to work, or staring into space when you're feeling berserk

The Reverend, Saturday, 9 June 2007 09:46 (nineteen years ago)

That's most definitely not a couplet. What was I thinking?

The Reverend, Saturday, 9 June 2007 09:47 (nineteen years ago)

...i'm broke.

Jordan Sargent, Saturday, 9 June 2007 10:01 (nineteen years ago)

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Saturday, 9 June 2007 19:12 (nineteen years ago)

Eenie meenie
We funk like Whodini*

* Or maybe Houdini. I don't have a clue which, since context means nothing here.

Oilyrags, Friday, 15 June 2007 18:16 (nineteen years ago)

As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them.

Probably Whodini (reference to their song "Five Minutes of Funk", I bet), although I have heard a Houdini reference recently too but I can't remember where (or swear it was a couplet!). It was very much in the "Ghost like Swayze" vein, as you can imagine.

that's actually the inspectah...u god wasn't even on 36 chambers...incarcerated while it was being recorded...

venimdenim, Monday, 18 June 2007 02:53 (nineteen years ago)

Deck really is mad dangerous on that record. I was disappointed by the solo stuff.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Monday, 18 June 2007 06:23 (nineteen years ago)

agreed!...imo deck and the gza were the 2 standouts on 36 chambers...uncontrolled substance was so disappointing and that new album (resident patient) is almost unlistenable...but he definitely gets the award for most consistent best 8 bars on the clan cuts.

venimdenim, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:21 (nineteen years ago)

my partner's cousin's uncle got killed by a shooter
i'm depressed so there's a rumor "boots is gonna hit the buddha!"

Oilyrags, Tuesday, 19 June 2007 20:20 (nineteen years ago)

that's actually the inspectah...u god wasn't even on 36 chambers...incarcerated while it was being recorded...

unless Deck completely changed his voice and then went back to normal for the second verse, it's def. U-God.

HPSCHD, Tuesday, 19 June 2007 20:59 (nineteen years ago)

Saxby D. Elder, Friday, 29 June 2007 03:52 (eighteen years ago)

i guess not necessarily, but that is sorta the design.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Friday, 29 June 2007 03:57 (eighteen years ago)

Just to explain half the thoughts I develop
You gotta change the alphabet and add like ten letters"

i understand that envy is part of the game
but make no mistake, you and i, we are not the same
naw bitch, i'm liable to splatter your shit

Jordan Sargent, Sunday, 1 July 2007 08:58 (eighteen years ago)

And it's Worthless, I got the whole town rappin'
If England lose the football then the whole town's scrappin'
Lying to yourself thinking you're creating the genre
Your drums sound like Pringles cans, you couldn't be wronger

Worthless "Croydon Politics"

Some great flow on the rest too...

Saxby D. Elder, Tuesday, 3 July 2007 03:48 (eighteen years ago)
