And I have to say it was better than hearing another round of Sirius-satellite-radio-approved college rock jukebox picks from late-20-something Juno-watching blog-reading New York shit-for-brains playing "The Killing Moon" and "My Name Is Jonas" and "Debaser" for the seven gablillionth time.

US music star Kid Rock is refusing to put his albums on iTunes because he says artists do not get paid enough for downloads from the Apple store.

Kid Rock is one of the last few acts not fully signed up to the service.

He said it was based on "an old system, where iTunes takes the money, the record company takes the money, and they don't give it to the artists".

the worst thing about Kid Rock is that what little charm his records used to have is gone now. he doesn't even rap on any of the 3 singles off of his current album, and I sure as hell don't wanna hear that guy sing.

He kinda raps -- because he's a shitty singer -- on that new tune where he drives around in his speedboat karaoking to a band playing a combination of "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Werewolves of London" badly.

Plus he's doing everything he possibly can to make bottom-out-of-sight sportsware store warm-up suits and fedora combos fashionable.

Most places on the net cite Cher's "Believe" as being first, but while that was released as a single in October of 98, Devil Without a Cause was released in August of that year, even thought it didn't seem to start getting hit singles till like summer of 99. Or is there an even lesser known example that predate both?

Also negotiated beer prices down to $4 each and parking to $0. Plus has ZZ Top and Kool & the Gang opening. So very worth the price of admission, even/especially if you don't drink or stay to watch Kid Rock.
