Kanye's verse on that 88 Keys track may be the worst of the year.

BOB was at the show i was helping out w/ on saturday, judging by the number of XXL/vibe/source editors on his list u will all be very very sick of him soon

max, Thursday, 30 October 2008 17:37 (seventeen years ago)

Only heard half these dudes. Of them, I pick Wale, but I get the impression Mickey Factz and Asher Roth may be way worse. The couple Ace Hood tracks I've heard are awful, but his freestyle on the BET hiphop awards was great. I like BOB and, yeah, I think he has the best commercial prospects out of this lot, or maybe Currensy.

Wale followed by B.O.B. followed by Cory Gunz (gotta admit I was impressed by his A Milli tho). Fuck all these dudes.

On another note, why the fuck do I have three Curren$y mixtapes in my Music folder? I dig dude but I don't need three of his tapes. I have no quality control these days goddam

‘Preciate the shout-out, Tony. It’s like this: My dude Asher is getting a lot of publicity right now, but there is one thing holding him back from international fame: endorsement by the White Nigga Movement, and more importantly, a personal endorsement from yours truly, Matt Muthafuckin Herbz.

You see, the kid can rap, no doubt, but when I was done listening to his mixtape, I had no desire to run it back and let it bump again. And that song about fucking cartoons, mang? That shit was gay. That’s why I’m Matt Herbz and I do not support his message.

Eminem is my nigga and I’ll ride for him if we’re talking about any album other than Encore, tracks 7-20. I look for the same thing in a rapper that any hip-hop head looks for: Originality, Genius, and Fierceness. I don’t wanna hear no stupid songs about getting up on cartoons man, put down the fucking bowl, nigga! Herbz iz out.

My Dearest Charles Hamilton (no homo),

Before I continue , I just wanna say--though I'm not your biggest fan..or much of a fan at all, I do think you have some lyrical skill. I said it the very first time I noted your music and proceeded to call you mentally retarded and I'll say it again now. The problem is, you talk too god damn much--not only that, but for someone who is extremely new to the game, you seem to speak as if we (hip hop fans) owe you something.

You seem to think that just because you're doing something different, we all need to acknowledge and idolize you for it. We don't...so stop getting mad when people say they don't like you, you are NOT the future of hip hop. With that said, I only threw this together cause of the vid below, I think this was recorded back in September, but it was taken offline for a while after some members from Defsounds went over to Hamilton's blog and shat on him. Skip to the 2 minute mark. Props to illroots for re-liberating it.

23 Reasons Why no one likes Charles Hamilton:

You've used two cop outs already...Uncle Luke and Soulja Boy...The soulja boy cop out still counts cause your "people" only realized they could use it as a marketing tool AFTER you bitched out.

You talk about females and colors like a virgin in highschool. "I like pink cause it's the color of the womb"....harlem nigga you gay.

You're first official single is about Brooklyn girls, that is NOT wavy..Harlem should be ashamed of you.
Your hair is always nappy, you are NOT Lauryn Hill--cut that shit out..groom yourself.

You're a disloyal ingrate. - You betrayed the blogger community that embraced you for the most part and released your final shitty mixtape through a not-so-blogger friendly website.

If master splinter and frankenberry had a retarded offspring..it'd be you.

You have no charisma on tracks--your flow is lazy and your lyrics are generally subpar, you are not the future of hip hop.
Wtf is this:

Your face looks like your breath smells like eggs and cigarettes.

You talk too god damn much.

You dismiss any criticism from any site or blogger as hating...when sometimes they have very valid points. (See bad breath comment and this).

You call yourself the "Pink Ranger."

The Pink ranger was a whore...you're just a douchebag.

You come up with awful nicknames for yourself.

Out of all the characters out there, you picked one that just runs...even Yoshi kicked a nigga here and there.

You gave props to wikipedia as a credible source after trying to insult my intelligence. Yes. You did that.

You don't even have a wikipedia page! AHAA

You keep tabs of bloggers and site members that diss you. Yes. You do that.

You remind me of Dookie from the Wire.

No one knows exactly why you're even semi-relevant.

If Mr. Bentley and Kanye had a gay romp fest one night--you'd be the end result.

You're involved in a fake e-cripple fight with Soulja Boy. We don't really care who wins, we're more interested in watching two retards kick each other.

You compare yourself to Kanye West, you're no where near as lyrically creative or consistent.

I still believe you come off as a mentally retarded person--no one likes mentally retarded people, that's why they take em to the park at night and keep em indoors during the day.

Now for everyone that's about to say "Damn you actually took time outta your day to write this up, you lame!"...It actually didn't involve that much effort--most of these are very obvious.

Sincerely,

- The Management

meme-first attitude (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 18:59 (sixteen years ago)

i wasn't insinuating a gag order, mostly that his silence post-girl punch was as much forced upon him by blogger/blog commenters than it was self-imposed

meme-first attitude (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 19:01 (sixteen years ago)

the only things i've really heard about Cory Gunz in the last few months were 1) a long rant from a blog that had apparently been stanning for him listing all the poor career moves he'd been making and 2) shortly after that the announcement that Nick Cannon was taking him under his wing and doing a reality show about him

Neden Raggett (some dude), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 19:03 (sixteen years ago)

'ziptapes' was coined by...somebody? people been saying it for a minute.

the whole Dilla fuckshit* happened after the girl punch, btw.

*is anyone else really entertained by Nah Right suddenly trying to make "fuckshit" a thing?

Neden Raggett (some dude), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 19:10 (sixteen years ago)

what was the dilla kerfuffle? (not saying fuckshit sorry nahright)

tulsa anti-juggalo league (M@tt He1ges0n), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 19:13 (sixteen years ago)

haha kerfuffle is much better

basically CHamilton posted liner notes for his album that gave Dilla an "executive producer" credit, people called it out as tastless, he kept saying he communed w/ Dilla's spirit, got permission from the guy's family, that he was doing it to be able to give money to some foundation, basically all this crazy shit that was all quickly debunked, huge huge backlash against the guy.

little does he know that all that binary translates to "people like me less than Asher Roth"

balearific, Saturday, 2 January 2010 04:00 (sixteen years ago)

So I have been selectively quiet in recent times, much to the (insert emotion here) of many. I can take this time now to be oblivious, or obvious when speaking about the time we’ve spent apart. I think I’ll write this like a 5th grade summer report.

I spent time growing up.

Blog entries were once my form of purging. Verbally, I’m a polemic white girl, and my emotions come out with every “create post” click. After a while, Eric Schmidt didn’t seem so deserving to get frequent updates on how I feel (the Google CEO, who also runs Blogger), despite the fact that my thousands of readers, do. Twitter isn’t exactly deserving of second-by-second updates either. Yeah world, it is as simple as, everything you need to know about me is in the music.

I wasn’t dropped, so much as I was escorted very gently into the Superintendent’s office with a pending expulsion from high school. I knew I had violated the student’s rights of others, but what can I say? I am the John Cutter of this institution of hip-hop (Breakfast Club anyone?). Such repercussions can never quell my desire to be the musician, rivaled only by the greatness of Georg Solti, John Williams and Quincy Jones. Really wanted a Grammy.

Some things got clarified quickly, and because of the nature of such clarification, I am not at will to speak on the status. So some questions will go unanswered for good. I am enjoying the fact that privacy is a right and a privilege that I can enjoy. Perhaps my lack of value for my privacy is what lead me to blog to begin with.

Well fret not, galaxy. Though a sharp decrease in mixtapes and albums will be noted, everything I have to say and deem necessary to share will come out in the music. Don’t ask about my current distribution situation. Just know I am here to hear and be heard. I thank family for being there for me, Karen for being the only (out of zillions of) blogger to have the proper outlet for me to speak, and everyone who found solice in my solstice.
Love.
