I've spent the last year or two or three periodically obsessing over "Moaner."

Second Toughest is incredible, but I've somehow not managed to get into any other of their albums.

second toughest seems like the most successful album of their career in terms of hanging together as one piece but their other stuff is awesome too

Which other album would you say is the pick of the bunch?

i would say beaucoup fish b/c it doesn't have any weak tracks at all, though dubnobasswithmyheadman has a couple of the most epic peaks.

I would also say Beaucoup Fish even though I don't like "Bruce Lee", partially because "Cups" in and of itself outepics everything on STITI and the albums structure has pretty much perfect build and release.

I'll give BF another listen. Still wish they'd gone ahead and called it Tonight, Matthew, We're Going to be Underworld (a joke which would not have survived the Atlantic crossing at all).

awesome: U2 or one of their crew selecting STITI to be blasted out over the PAs before their soldier field show in '98.

this band somehow became my drunken jukebox selection standby, mostly BF tracks

that does not really bode well for BF's overall shelf life unfortunately

They certainly represent value for money in terms of track lengths!

i hope to find a bar which has their riverrun EPs on the jukebox for that reason alone ^_^

I have played "Cups" at bars before. It's only lasted to the awesome coda once. ;_;

Dudes, i saw them in Boston in september while i was vacationing there, it was awesome, but i wish they played some more old stuff.

I really hope that they come to Chicago again!

the limited 12's they put out a while back are pretty cool and i really, really dig their new album... their third best in my opinion... and to think i almost gave up on them!

maybe i'll watch 'everything everything' again. i only saw underworld live in '99, twice in the space of 4 weeks, both at festivals.

Oh, it made me feel lucky. That and Juanita/Kiteless, which I believe they played because people on the darktrain forums were geeking out over it and requesting it. They seem like the type of band who would be on that tip.

i would kill for juanita/kiteless... they have been playing dirty epic quite a bit since 2006 from what i hear.

i'm getting Liars on the Radiohead tour, Houston TX show. i wish i was getting Underworld - enjoy the fuck out of both bands, but i've seen Liars i think 4 times (going back to 2001 or so), and Underworld zero.

did you get your tix from waste or ticketmaster?
i plan on getting mine (philly) through waste, but i've heard they usually go on sale at like 3:00 am, and sell out in 15 minutes. ticketmaster, usually less than a minute.
