The r.e.m. countdown has been pausing and resuming for months

hrm, i realize people have better things to do with their lives but it would be cool if--seeing as we've already gotten to the top 20 and finished the album poll with relative speed--this didn't take months. i'm having a harder time caring with every passing day.
