"persecution smith" is a ridiculous dylan ripoff, sure, but it's got this bubblegummy chorus that suggests he had a monkees LP on the changer, too. maybe even some archies. it's brilliant.

(I think I mentioned this in another Seger thread but) real early on, he played the cafeteria at my dad's high school, and when someone asked him (pointedly, perhaps) to play some Dylan, his response was something like "I don't play Bob Dylan. I play Bob Seger."

hey folks, I sent in the CDDB info for Myonga's CDR, so if you have the CDR version you should get the track titles now! One more step in "legitimizing" this, still hoping for P&J votes.

The cdr MVB circulated utterly kills, not a bad track on it. Quite a shock for someone like me who assiciates this guy with "Like A Rock" etc. Frigging awesome!

is there still a dl link for the latest version of this avaliable? I got the earlier version, but that was the one with .wav files ... either way, it is awesome.

tyler I converted the wmv tracks to mp3 and that's what I'm listening to. If nothing else I could up that.

Yeah, no bout adoubt it. Along with the Runaways soundtrack, it's the best hard rock 'record' I've listened to this year. If Seger had any sense he'd pay MVB a fee for artistic consulting,
give him a piece per unit sold and put it in stores. Rhino Handmade couldn't have done a better job. That's assuming Seger owns all the rights now.
