Granted I'm one of like 3 pop-loving people in the world to still not like Lady Gaga, but "Poker Face"?! "Paparazzi" and "Bad Romance" I was expecting, but this one, ugh, the way she says the title is one of the most annoying things I've heard on the radio in the last few years.

"Paparazzi" sneaks up on you, IMO; I didn't actually like it all that much until I saw her live performances where she sings the low harmony part as opposed to the melody line on the chorus.

after seeing her perform for the first time on these videos, the one thing that strikes me is that she must be really short... all her outfits try to draw out the illusion that she has longer legs (which doesn't work if you're accustomed to seeing it).

ok, just googled her height... she claims 5'1" which must mean 5 foot nothing or shorter.

I guess I don't get why "Poker Face" is supposedly so much worse than "Bad Romance." They're very similar songs, structurally. The only reason I probably like "Bad Romance" better is that it has two hooks: the "rah-rah-ah-ah-ah" bit and the chorus.

i'm telling you guys, her and snooki (4'10") would be a good duo.

yeah, she's tiny. caught a little of her live once, shrugged and left and have been confused ever since as to how big she got.

tbh, i would likely be a lot more forgiving if she were part of a four girl group or wasn't so damn ubiquitous

the dancing is pretty amateurish, though, don't you think? esp. compared with the performances of other pop stars. I also don't find the (intended) comical aspect of her performances to be very funny.

Yeah, Girls being widely-loved is more WTF to me than even Fleet Foxes or whatever because there's nothing to the songs. At least Fleet Foxes have harmonies that required forethought, and Animal Collective create musical layers. Girls just take garage pop and strip it of all character.
