i don't think i like this album.

Do you love me now? (surm), Friday, 8 January 2010 04:41 (sixteen years ago)

It's . . . okay, maybe? Totally forgettable.

And that's a shame, because I loved her prior disc. This one seems so lifeless and cold by comparison.

Daniel, Esq., Friday, 8 January 2010 04:48 (sixteen years ago)

for me anniemal may have had slightly better songwriting but i prefer the sound of this one way way more

journey to the center of fat butt (electricsound), Friday, 8 January 2010 04:49 (sixteen years ago)

the sound is decent but the hooks / lyrics are pretty dumb

you have to forgive me (surm), Wednesday, 20 January 2010 16:27 (sixteen years ago)

it's the kind of thing where i think "wow, with all the tools, sounds and production values involved here, these are the tunes u could come up with?"

you have to forgive me (surm), Wednesday, 20 January 2010 16:33 (sixteen years ago)

Well I think I prefer this one like a hundred times times more, but then I never really though Anniemal was that great, so...

My only problem with the album doesn't really have to do with the album itself, more like the way it was released, marketed, etc. That took away much of the excitement. A complete disaster!

First track from what's presumably her next record. I approve!

Johnny Fever, Friday, 26 April 2013 14:26 (thirteen years ago)

Is it seriously called 'Tube Stops and Lonely Hearts'?

Matt DC, Friday, 26 April 2013 14:28 (thirteen years ago)

whoa, this is actually good

flamenco drop (lex pretend), Friday, 26 April 2013 17:55 (thirteen years ago)

like, banging and authoritative (title is total red herring, nothing mimsy about this)

flamenco drop (lex pretend), Friday, 26 April 2013 17:56 (thirteen years ago)

"i hate all things mimsy" should be on your tombstone, lex. either way, this is amazing

What's up with the video??

Spencer Chow, Friday, 26 April 2013 18:55 (thirteen years ago)

its boring. that's whats up.
the song is cool though.

mark e, Friday, 26 April 2013 19:02 (thirteen years ago)

Has Annie ever made a good video though?

how's life, Friday, 26 April 2013 19:10 (thirteen years ago)

I wouldn't say it's boring. Alternating shots of listless Annie and rooftop spinning class is really very strange.

Spencer Chow, Friday, 26 April 2013 19:21 (thirteen years ago)

There's this one she did with Ralph Myerz as well:

Really not sure what to make of this single. I hate the video so much it's hard to let that influence how I hear the song.

Apparently she is bringing out a new Richard X produced EP in the next few months. Think we might have to wait a while for an actual full length album.

As for her making good videos, I always liked the I Know Ur Girlfriend Hates Me one.

one month passes...

Don't think this was posted, lead single from the upcoming EP with Richard X:

First Soriginalbabes, now Annie. I wonder who’s next.

Chewshabadoo, Thursday, 4 July 2013 16:01 (twelve years ago)

Nice, sounds like St. Etienne!

timellison, Friday, 5 July 2013 03:53 (twelve years ago)

It sounds a lot like something on the surprisingly good Little Boots album. I think she actually worked on the new EP with Annie and Richard X, not sure if it was this song though.

Kitchen Person, Friday, 5 July 2013 05:28 (twelve years ago)

LOVE this, those arcade-machine synths in the background of the chorus are fantastic.

Strange that "Tube Stops" is not on the EP tracklist.

monotony, Friday, 5 July 2013 08:02 (twelve years ago)

I like this a lot, i prefer it to "Tube Stops", which i couldn't really get into

gregus, Saturday, 6 July 2013 00:02 (twelve years ago)

Yeah I didn't like Tube Stops at all. This is a nice song but I hope there's something a bit more exciting on the EP.

really really like that bass sound

take that, bitterman (electricsound), Thursday, 18 July 2013 02:03 (twelve years ago)

This is probably the best thing she's done since the first album. It's very Saint Etienne which is obviously no bad thing.

Kitchen Person, Thursday, 18 July 2013 03:02 (twelve years ago)

"Invisible", new track from the A&R EP. Somewhat similar to "Tube Stops.". I like it!

sweet 90s vibes that really hit the spot on the new ep

That video is genius. ITV Chart Show is still the greatest music show there has ever been.
