I find it weird when people, who have absolutely zero in common with me, just visit my page. I wonder how they come across my page?

It will probably tell you if you had any visitors today. You might have secret admirers you didn't know about.

Yeh: I can usually narrow it down to posts I've left somewhere, or songs I've recently loved/tagged/whatever.
Interestingly: I got a message the other week telling me my subscription had expired, but ... er, it still seems to be valid. Heh.

oh i get randoms on my page all the time - loads of the time i can't even figure out any way they'd have got there.
although! i note that i have recently had quite the influx of weird visitors. one of them has the username "FredDurstsKnob" - i am not clicking on that, sorry. another says, in his about me section, "Pete Doherty is a genius!" his is literally the first last.fm page i have clicked on where there isn't even ONE act in common.
anyway i believe they are lurkers on this very thread (or, god, who knows, maybe you lot) b/c they all visited just after pfunkboy bumped it. they should get better taste.

oh hang on he's just started listening to the wu-tang clan?? well there's the first act in common i guess. he's already learning from me :D

http://www.last.fm/user/babyamuels ? He doesn't seem to like The Beatles much according to his journal. He must be your indie twin brother.

History fuxored for two reasons:
1. Genius picks the same 12 songs again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again2. It keeps listing one song five times in a row

― I'm Richard (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 27 November 2008 01:07 (fifteen years ago) link
I assume the Beatles and Radiohead deleting has to do with the fact that people don't want to be just another person with those artists ruling their charts. Has to be it.
And LOL@Girlfriend and Say It Right being to two biggest guilty pleasures.

I find it weird when people, who have absolutely zero in common with me, just visit my page.
on the flipside, it's really nice when randoms visit your page and you can pinpoint exactly why - eg 12 minutes ago a kid from macedonia clicked through to me because of our mutual love for - of all things! - the quentin harris dark collage club mix of jennifer hudson's 'spotlight'.

It continues to not scrobble my 120 Gb ipod properly, which is f'n annoying because 90% of my listening is on that.
― I'm Richard (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 27 November 2008 10:49 (fifteen years ago) link
really? ever since the redesign it's scrobbled my ipod almost perfectly (occasionally missing the odd track out, sometimes inexplicably scrobbling something 5 times, but usually fine). consequently the sheer volume of music i consume can be worrying...it's also v helpful for piecing together fragments of nights out. "oh why was i listening to sweet female attitude and 'wearing my rolex' at 6am on sunday morning...oh yeah i had just met a girl at a house party who was my uk garage ally and we had commandeered the stereo while dancing and doing shots of belvedere, AWESOME"
