i really marvel at the lack of self-awareness of the cbrapp comment flies. (and yes i fully realize the irony of this statement re: surfboard dudes). i know it draws a ton of really really lame wanna-bloggers who basically just do not have interesting/refined opinions and/or anything important to say but do anyway to try to put themselves on and become part of the rap blog conversation. but even beyond those dudes (of which there are like almost a dozen that spring to mind instantly)...where the fuck are these people coming from? when did it stop being a nice place to find crazy rare tracks and start being a place for cornballs to rehash the same stupid crap that's been on message boards for years. soon there's gonna be an Illmatic vs Reasonable Doubt debate in there

i think i'm developing a morbid fascination with pharell's quiet storm + big corny bridge tracks. they're terrible, but at least they're different from anything else. i'd love to hear the beat cd with the tracks that DON'T get picked.
