i wonder what he thinks of Pitchfork. O_O

kshighway1, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 17:53 (sixteen years ago)

I bet he's got some interesting stories, this one, if we ask him really nicely to share

cee-u-en-tee (some dude), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:01 (sixteen years ago)

omg a parody of Precious is the role I was born to play

kingkongvsgodzilla, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:02 (sixteen years ago)

please tell me that's a tweet and not an excerpt from something on Idolator

a Barbie-like nub where he provates should be (HI DERE), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:04 (sixteen years ago)

it's a tweet

kingkongvsgodzilla, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:04 (sixteen years ago)

Which maybe she assumes is private, but...

kingkongvsgodzilla, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:05 (sixteen years ago)

No, it's from Becky's twitter.

Pretty much 100% confirmed it's her now, because one of her friends tweeted "Joshsod @bexmachine these people really miss maura....whoever the heck that is. lots of jerks!"

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:06 (sixteen years ago)

OMG, what is wrong with this woman? Her tweets read like an American who once read Bridget Jones and didn't realise it was a parody, not a style guide.

Persian Pickle (Masonic Boom), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:11 (sixteen years ago)

btw the biggest impact this is all having on me is reminding me why I never wanted to be on Twitter in the first place, yikes

these people really miss maura....whoever the heck that is

That's about as close to a nutshell as we're gonna get on this one, I guess. I'd be surprised if Robbie and Becky aren't essentially saying the same thing privately.

She's an endless source of amusement (at her own expense).

(tbf, though... her American Idol blogging isn't so bad.)

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:36 (sixteen years ago)

robbie <<<<<<< becky ( <<<<<<<<<<<<< literate humans)

All I saw was a list, updated once a a day, and written by two people. Doesn't seem like an awful amount of owrk.

kind of wish Robbie had been raked harder over the coals, tho

a Barbie-like nub where he provates should be (HI DERE), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:55 (sixteen years ago)

to be fair, aren't these two just "following orders"? i assume buzznet knew their tastes and told them to just do what they do best...

jØrdån (omar little), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 18:56 (sixteen years ago)

zinging their tastes is a red herring (though god knows it's easy enough in robbie's case...makes me want to apologise on behalf of gays everywhere) - it all comes down to their terrible writing and failed attempts at humour which seem indicative of a really awful mindset w/r/t what cultural commentary should be. there's just no engagement with the product at all. they describe something, and then instead of analysing it or making some sort of insight or probing at it in any way they just go "yay!" or "ooh!". why would you do that? why would you want to read that? why have their previous enterprises actually gained them an audience? i don't get it and it really bothers me a bit too much now.

lex pretend, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 19:01 (sixteen years ago)

and then there's the really basic stuff which you'd expect even a drone to get right - the spelling, formatting, fact checking...

lex pretend, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 19:02 (sixteen years ago)

oh wow

I'll be writing for a pop music blog

jØrdån (omar little), Wednesday, 11 November 2009 19:38 (sixteen years ago)

"I'll be writing for a pop music blog, which means Brit-Brit and Lady Gaga and (God help our collective eardrums) Paris Hilton will still be very much a part of my life. However, unless Jon and Kate and the Plus 8 release a Christmas album, I won't have to ever type their names ever again."

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 19:38 (sixteen years ago)

I hate hating on people who I don't know.

That being said, I miss Internet 0.4. People like this were making fun of Internet users instead of using it themselves.

honestly? BFD. i only come here for ted, and all the robsten/pattinson stories have mostly driven me away anyway. i mean, who the heck are you, becky bain, and what gives you the right to call ted YOUR crew? a bit egocentric, isn't that?

As for me, I assure you, I’m not the Anti-Christ. Nor has it ever been verified that I am, indeed, of mechanical, robotic origin!

This is good to read in Neil Hamburger's voice FYI

It will, immediately after it's posted somewhere else.
